I am thrilled and humbled that for the second year in a row, I have been nominated for the Eisner Award, this time in the Best Short Story category! My comic, LIFE DURING INTERESTING TIMES was published in 2018 at The Nib, and is a reflection upon the passing of the “Greatest Generation”, the crises they faced in their time, and the crises we face ahead.

ZERO CIVILIAN CASUALTIES

Who really bears the brunt of the US bombing campaign in Somalia? A graphic investigation from cartoonist Mike Dawson and Amnesty International.

New comic at POPULA - read the rest HERE

US strikes in Somalia have surged under Trump, while protections for civilians have been rolled back. The US consistently claims not a single civilian has been killed or injured. Artist Mike Dawson partners with Amnesty International and Popula to present evidence from Amnesty’s in-depth report, which suggests scores of civilian deaths, violations of international law, and possible war crimes.
