Book Boyfriends with R.M. Garry

Hello,Fangtastic fans. My name is R. M. Garry and I am the author of the paranormal erotic novel Beacon of Sound. This guest blog will change your life. Ok, that is not a true statement because I am just going to write about men I drool over.  The following will be a top 10 list of my book boyfriends.  Don't pretend you don't have one. The list changes every time I read a new book, but these are the ones that have stuck in my mind.  Some of my men are heroes and the others straddle the line between good and evil.  This list only contains paranormal hotties. Ignore the numbers because all of these men are my number one.
 1.     Jericho Barrons is the leading man/beast from the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning.I love him because you never know if he is a hero or bad guy. Jericho will do whatever it takes to get what he wants. Being a hero ranks a fat zero on his list of priorities. His dark nature is both scary and erotic.  I love me some tattooed Jericho Barrons.
2.     Dr. Giovanni Vecchio is the main vampire from the Elemental Mysteries series by ‎Elizabeth Hunter. Please tell me what in the world is sexier than a vampire who can control fire? Exactly, he is dangerous and sexy. Giovanni is a rare books dealer with a past that could destroy his future. He has the ability to control fire in and out of the bedroom. Oh, the flames we could ignite together.
3.     Dante Garcea is an aggressive workaholic beta wolf who stars in Wicked Cravings, part of the Phoenix Pack series by Suzanne Wright. A woman loves a wolf who plays hard to get. Dante ignored his leading lady until she gave up on the chase. When he decides to pursue her, well let’s just say there were scorch marks on my Kindle. He is intense, dominating, aggressive, and sexy. I want a nice tall glass of Dante.
4.     Prince Trehan Daciano is a vampire assassin in Kresley Cole’s paranormal novel Shadow’s Claim from the Immortals After Dark series. The prince enters a bloody contest to win the hand of his bride.  He is passionate, intense, and powerful. Trehan will stop at nothing to claim what he wants.  This vamp has a sword and loves to bite. He can conquer me any day.
5.     King is the leading bad man from The King Trilogy by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff.  King is the man you go to when you need something found. No matter what it is, he will find it for a price. I won’t tell you what he is because it will ruin the surprise. He is not a hero, he is just KING.  Come find me King, we can pretend I’m lost.
6.     Bastien is the bad boy turned almost good in Dianne Duvall’s novel Phantom Shadows from the Immortal Guardians series. Bastien battled the Immortal Guardians as the leader of a vampire army until he found out he was not a vampire. He is now trying to find his place as an Immortal Guardian while still being a badass.  Bastien is fearless, sarcastic, and makes no excuses for being a bad guy in the past.  I am always game to play with a hero who has a dark side.
7.     Dragos Cuelebre is the fierce dragon in charge of the Wyr in New York. In Thea Harrison’s Dragon Bound, Dragos goes on the hunt for a thief and finds a mate. He is ancient, powerful, and wealthy. Dragos did not start off being a hero, he was too concerned with control and power. He dominates in the boardroom and destroys the sheets in the bedroom. I love a man who is too dangerous to care about being good.
8.     Ephraim Williams is a pyte. Pytes are born vampires not made. He is featured in R. L Mathewson’s novel Tall, Dark, & Lonely from the Pyte/Sentinel series, but makes an appearance throughout the series. Ephraim had the worst childhood imaginable and has used that trauma to keep himself separated from the rest of the world. Even after being tortured by humans, he still finds the capacity to love and be passionate. I love a damaged hero who finds a way to love while rocking your world.
9.     Dracula needs no introduction. Bram Stoker was ahead of his time. An ancient vampire who kidnaps a man then travels to claim that man’s wife is one bad … Most people see him as a villain, I think he is misunderstood.  If given the chance, I would really spice this story up. Throw in some handcuffs, chains, bite play, and a modern castle, then Dracula becomes a modern day bad boy. Everyone knows I am a Dracula groupie so this addition to the list should have been expected.
10.  Patrick Noir Alvang is the almost hero from Beacon of Sound by R.M. Garry. He is featured in book one of The Noire Dera series. Ok people, don’t tell me you expected a list of hot paranormal men and did not see this shameless plug coming. Patrick is the prince of the Noire Dera. He is on a mission to rescue a damsel who has no idea she is in trouble. I love him because he is bad. There is not a noble bone in Patrick’s body. He uses seduction as a tool to save Marie.  In his world, bring a woman to orgasm 15 times is the only way to find out if there is poison in her system. See what I mean. Patrick is a naughty man. I hope Patrick saw my distress signal because being saved via orgasm is the best way to go.

Thank you for the chance to share my list of paranormal obsessions. Pick up their story and introduce yourself to these delicious men. Keep in mind that I picked them first and don’t know how to share.
Until next time, stay naughty Fangtastic readers.

Excerpt: A dance with the devil
Marie felt like throwing a party to commemorate the end of her crazy day. She had one client committed and had to stop another session early in order to get her last client to stop crying. She changed quickly and was ready for the studio within 10 minutes of her last session. She put her new CD on and fought to get through the Brandon traffic. Brandon, Florida had traffic at all hours of the day. It was as if the traffic Gods rejected the idea of a peaceful drive through the city.
Once she arrived at her studio, she bolted inside and locked the door. She pulled on her silky, beaded skirt and wrapped it snugly around her waist. She then tied a blue scarf to each wrist and began stretching. She turned on the stereo and let the magic begin. Marie started to relax as the sound of Anoushka Shankar’s sitar filled the small dance space. She could feel the energy coursing through her body. The music threaded through the empty spaces in her spirit. She spun and danced to ISHQ and felt as if she was flying when “Dancing in Madness” floated out of the speakers.
She spared no expense when it came to her studio. It was a place where art came alive. Art and peace were flowing through her body when she saw someone standing outside the studio.  Doctor Fallen Angel had come to pay her a visit.
Oh, this is surely the devil’s work.
She would not be decent to him. Refusing to pause the music, she released the deadbolt and let him in.
“Dr. Alvang, I want you to know that Marcel has sold you up the river. There is no way you’ll survive this.” She turned and walked to the center of the studio. She wound her hips to "Si No Puedo Verla" and waited for his response. “You will dance and not complain. You have invaded my peace and I will not give you anything until you’re broken by my music.” Men hated to dance and she was prepared to mop the floor with the good doctor. Marcel was the only man that could keep pace. Patrick didn’t hesitate. He walked up behind her and grabbed her by the waist. She relaxed into his hold for a split second. They danced like flames leaping to kiss the air.
It was flawless.
She became lost in the pain, pleasure, joy, and seduction of the sitar and the guitars. Patrick touched every inch of her and demanded that her body respond. She backed away as her leg slid to his waist. He lifted Marie by the waist and positioned her closer. His palms were on the small of her back. The movement pressed their bodies close. There was no escaping.
It was as if he’d melted into her and bonded them together. The CD ended, and then, without warning, the song changed. Mark Rosas was singing "Higher" and Patrick continued dancing as if the shift in music was inconsequential. She’d left that dance mix at home.
Why was it playing? The dubstep rhythm in the song gave him an opportunity to really show off. He lifted her into his arms again.
Patrick turned her toward one of the mirrors as he ground into her back. She wrapped her arms around his neck and felt his breath brushing against her ear. She was transfixed. Her eyes were glued to the mirror. Their bodies resembled an erotic oil painting. Patrick pulled her in tighter and she melted into him. Their legs moved, but Marie was lost in the dance.
She heard Mark sing, “I just want to take you higher, com'n let me light your fire." He spun her around and their eyes met. Patrick's were glowing cobalt beacons that held her gaze. His gaze remained locked on her as if mapping her every emotion. As the song came to an end, he slid her to the floor. And she came to rest in a kneeling position at his feet.

Guest blog and Giveaway The Ex File by Alexis D Craig

Caipirinha (Sean O’Leary’s drink of choice)
I was out to dinner a few weeks before I started working on The Ex File, really, before it was even an idea in my head, much less a mumbled recording on my phone’s voice recorder. I went to this lovely Brazilian steakhouse in Downtown Indy called Fogo de Chao. I’d never been before, and as I normally do, I try a new cocktail while I’m out if I know I won’t be driving.
The national drink of Brazil is the caipirinha, according to their menu, and it sounded like a lovely drink for a summer afternoon’s retreat into evening. Light, somewhat fizzy, with lime and the unmistakable kick of a decently strong liquor, I fell in love at first swig. I loved it so much, I had two that night. There may have been some dancing involved upon my return home, but we shouldn’t speak of it.
Needless to say when I started writing the story to fill out the sleepy skeleton I’d recorded in the wee hours of the morning, it was the first thing that came to my mind when depicting something stronger than beer but not along the same emotionally dour lines of scotch or straight whiskey. It plays a role in the reunion of Sean and Ellie, and I love how that turned out.
So, without further ado, The Caipirinha:
½ lime, quartered1 teaspoon white sugar2 ½ fluid ounces of cachaça1 cup of ice cubes
In a large rocks glass, squeeze and drop in 2/8 of the lime. Add the sugar, crush the lime and mix with a spoon. Pour in the cachaça and plenty of ice. Stir well.
*As an aside, I totally add some tonic water to cut the liquor a bit, if for no other reason than me singing in public is only acceptable at the karaoke bar and the grocery store produce section (don’t ask).
Give it a try, and you won’t be sorry.

Excerpt 2:
Tempting fate, he cupped her cheek, heartened when she didn’t turn away from him. “I may be a lot of things,” he started, “but I’m not that kind of bastard. That much I can promise.”“But you didn’t call.” Her voice was small, full of confusion and accusation even as she hooked her fingers through his belt loops.Sean rested his forehead against hers, feeling the heat of her whiskey breath against his lips. “You said you were going to call me right before you ran out the door the other morning.” He hoped that by showing the parity of their situations, it would make her feel better.“I didn’t run.” Ellie tilted her head back to look him in the eye, “I walked, with dignity and great haste.” She held a straight face for only a moment before breaking into a quiet chuckle. He could feel himself grinning like an idiot. He nuzzled his nose against hers. “Fine, you left with great haste.”She turned her face away and mumbled something that sounded like, “I didn’t know what else to do.”“Eleanor,” he purred as he placed a finger under chin and turned her face to his. She looked… scared? Ashamed? It was several shades of emotion at once, and he wanted nothing more than to hug her as tight as he could to make them go away. “El. You know what I did last week?” She shook her head. He licked his lips and laughed slightly. “I arrested a couple hookers, did some buys. Hung out with Guinness. Went a little nuts on eBay for a couple antique swords. It’s an exciting life I lead, huh?”Ellie’s eyes fell from his to his lips, finally landing on his chest. “I’m sorry for doubting you.”Sean threaded his fingers through her hair as he pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead. “No, don’t apologize. We’re both kinda new at this.” When she looked back up at him, she looked like she was about to cry. That wouldn’t do at all. He brushed his lips across hers, pleased to see the surprise in her eyes. “We’ll work it out.”She reached up and tucked his bangs behind his ear, her fingertips igniting little sparks against his skin as she trailed them down his neck to his shoulder. “I’m sure we will.” When she arched up into him as she kissed him, he knew the heaven he’d experienced the other night hadn’t been imagined. Her fingers wound in his hair, the way her breath caught when he bit her neck, her leg hooked around his, damn, he hadn’t realized how much he’d missed this. The knock at the door broke them apart for only a second. She looked at the door, and the clock on the stove, before pulling him tight against her again. “Wrong house. They’ll figure it out.”  That was all the permission to continue he needed, grabbing her by the waist and lifting her onto the counter. Stepping between her legs, he dropped his hand to her knee, moving it slowly up her thigh and dragged her dress with it. Ellie tugged at the collar and sleeves of his button down shirt, until he stopped only long enough to toss it into the living room over the half-wall.He framed her face in his hands and peppered her lips with tiny kisses and nibbles as she wrapped her legs around his waist and pressed herself as close to him as she could be while still dressed.
The banging on the front door recommenced, this time with the familiar timber of a cop on a mission. “Eleanor Gardner. Open the door now or I’m coming in there.”

Chapters    Kobo     iBooksExcerpt: “What did the x-ray find?” she asked.“A spiral fracture of the right arm.” He paused for a moment and took a deep breath as if trying to control his emotions. “I’ve seen this kind of injury before. A fracture like this can be the result of a fall, but it can also be an indication of child abuse. An arm as small as Ava’s will break like a twig if it’s twisted hard enough. I’m obligated to contact the authorities if I suspect abuse.”Julia stared at him in mute shock, her brain struggling to process his words, as if trying to translate some unintelligible language. The words child abuse rang in her ears. Finally she found her voice.“You think someone deliberately hurt her?”“Her injuries are consistent with abuse.”“I don’t give a damn what they’re consistent with. Ava has not been mistreated. My mother said she fell down the stairs, and if that’s what she said, then that’s what happened.”“I believe there’s more to the story than a simple fall.”“If it comes down to believing you or believing my mother, I’m going with my mother.”“Perhaps you don’t know your mother as well as you think you do.”Julia sucked in a breath and stared into Dr. Campbell’s dark, accusing eyes. The idea that her mother would hurt Ava was ridiculous. She adored Ava, would do anything for her… She blinked and looked away, remembering an incident the other day. She’d heard her yelling at Ava about the milk she’d spilled on the kitchen floor, making such a huge deal of it that Ava had cried. It had struck her as strange, since she couldn’t remember her mother yelling at anyone, ever. She wasn’t as patient as she used to be. And how did she explain her strange phone call telling her Ava had been hurt? Of course she’d been upset, but her mother had been nearly incoherent with distress. Was something going on she wasn’t aware of? She was seventy-one now. Maybe looking after a rambunctious five-year-old was too much for her. No. She shook her head to reject the disloyal thought. Dr. Campbell was the one who was wrong. “I know my mother. She didn’t do this. It was an accident.”“We’ll soon find out. Sharon is questioning Ava now.”Julia stared at the door. “She’ll be scared, all by herself.”“Sharon’s very good at what she does. She has a way of making kids feel comfortable.”Julia turned on him, the anger and despair she’d been holding inside spilling out. “And you? Do you enjoy upsetting five-year-olds and turning families’ lives upside down? Does it make you feel powerful to sic the authorities on us?”“Look, Mrs. Stewart, I take no pleasure in bringing in the authorities. But I’ve seen child abuse, up close and personal, and I can tell you it’s damn ugly. The things parents and caregivers are capable of doing to defenseless children…” He stopped abruptly, his chest heaving. Closing his eyes, he averted his face and took a deep breath. When he turned back to her, his steely control was back in place. “So yeah, if I have even the smallest suspicion that a child has been abused, I’m going to ask questions. And I’m not going to apologize for it.”

About the Author:
When Jana Richards read her first romance novel, she immediately knew two things: she had to commit the stories running through her head to paper, and they had to end with a happily ever after. She also knew she’d found what she was meant to do. Since then she’s never met a romance genre she didn’t like. She writes contemporary romance, romantic suspense, and historical romance set in World War Two, in lengths ranging from short story to full length novel.
Just for fun, she throws in generous helpings of humor, and the occasional dash of the paranormal. Her paranormal romantic suspense “Seeing Things” was a 2008 EPPIE finalist.
In her life away from writing, Jana is an accountant/admin assistant, a mother to two grown daughters, and a wife to her husband Warren. She enjoys golf, yoga, movies, concerts, travel and reading, not necessarily in that order. She and her husband live in Winnipeg, Canada with their Pug/Terrier cross Lou and several unnamed goldfish.

Genre: Erotic Romance, M/M, Shifter
Publisher: ARe
Book Description:
Max is on the run, but is he running from his past, or toward his future? Only Ulf knows…
Werewolf Max knows desiring males is wrong, but he can't help himself. When his pack nearly kills him in an attempt to cleanse him, Max runs. Jumping on his motorcycle, he heads north.
Ulf has lived on his own in the wilds of Northern Ontario for a long time. When he catches the scent of a stranger in his territory, he’s angry at first, until he realizes that Max is more than just another werewolf. They’re mates.
Ulf must make Max believe that two males can be mates, but just as he’s about to succeed, Max's past catches up with him. Will the home they've been hoping to build together be lost for good?
About the Author:
Often referred to as "Space Cowboy" and "Gangsta of Love" while still striving for the moniker of "Maurice," Sean Michael spends his days surfing, smutting, organizing his immense gourd collection and fantasizing about one day retiring on a small secluded island peopled entirely by horseshoe crabs. While collecting vast amounts of vintage gay pulp novels and mood rings, Sean whiles away the hours between dropping the f-bomb and pursuing the kama sutra by channeling the long lost spirit of John Wayne and singing along with the soundtrack to "Chicago."
A long-time writer of complicated haiku, currently Sean is attempting to learn the advanced arts of plate spinning and soap carving sex toys.
Barring any of that? He'll stick with writing his stories, thanks, and rubbing pretty bodies together to see if they spark.

JaydedShevaun DeLucia
Genre: New Adult
Release Date: April 10, 2015
Book Description:
Maxine Daniels was made an offer that she couldn’t refuse. She couldn’t think of a better time—after breaking things off with her fiancé—to change cities and merge her company with Saunders Literary Agency. At thirty-three, she isn’t getting any younger, so it’s time to start fresh and leave her past behind.
What she doesn’t anticipate is the diversion that lies ahead. Kyle Saunders is a catastrophic tsunami that enters her life and consumes her world in just a matter of minutes. Everything about him is telling her no, but her heart and the heat between her legs is screaming yes. He was never a factor in her divine plan—nor was she in his.
Kyle is the cliché bachelor; he is a twenty-four-year-old charismatic chick magnet who refuses to settle down. He’s dead set on living the carefree single life—that is—until Max comes strolling in. Then all his ridiculous rules fall to the wayside.
Who knew that just one hello could alter their lives forever?

About the Author:
Shevaun DeLucia lives in upstate New York with her husband, four children, and two dogs. As a stay-at-home mom while her children were young, she fell in love with reading. She indulged in the small moments that took her away from the reality of her loud, overly rambunctious household, bringing her into a world of fantasy. When reading wasn’t enough to satisfy her, she turned to writing, determined to create the perfect ending of her own.

Excerpt:
Throughout our discussion, Lorian hadn’t said a word. He tapped his forefinger on the glass-top table, an agitated movement. There seemed to be a consensus of agreement, whether he liked it or not. Finally, he stood and spoke, but not about the name.
“Ground-breaking for the site is tomorrow at ten in the morning. I expect you all there as news teams will be covering it. I expect everyone on time.” A malicious glare at me. “Dismissed.”
Willow and Belka gave each other a questioning look, obviously wondering how our first meeting lasted all of ten minutes. Like soldiers, we fell out toward the door. Fast.
“Ms. Linden. I’d like a word with you.” Hard, grating words.
I swiveled, catching Fallon’s sympathetic smile as he passed. Marching back, I stood in front of Lorian. He said not a word, hard gaze meeting mine, towering above me. Knowing he wanted privacy, Willow closed the door behind her.
I waited, back straight, chin set at a defiant angle. I only came to the top of his chest, but it didn’t faze me in the least. I imagined what it would be like to be covered by all of that hard muscle. His biceps and forearms flexed from tension. Rather than frighten, I longed to trail my fingers up them to see if he would relax under my touch.
“Ms. Linden, you came highly recommended, but don’t think because your best friend is married to my brother I will be lenient with you. I expect my employees to be on time, every time. Not one minute late. Not two seconds late. Am I clear?”
I bristled. “Crystal. Am I dismissed, Mr. Nightwing?”
Sharp eyes narrowed.
Oh, yes. He caught the slight dip, the edge of sarcasm and defiance leaking into my voice. Big boy didn’t like that. A wonderful shiver rippled down my body.
“And another thing.”
“Yes?”
“Be sure you take a shower before you show up for work.”
“What?”
“I can smell a man on you.” He leaned forward, fury lining his face in hard edges. “And I can smell everything you did with him last night.” Steely, steely words. Oh, he was so pissed.
I’d forgotten about ultrasensitive Morgon senses. Oops. I opened my mouth to make a snarky remark, but what could I say? He was right. And though it was none of his business, I still didn’t want Lorian knowing I’d had sex last night. Oh, hell. Nor did I want the rest of the damn team knowing. No wonder the men were looking at me as if they knew a secret. I’d just broadcasted to the lot of them my extracurricular activities. Heat flared in my chest as embarrassment swept through me, a sensation I rarely experienced. My attempt to transform going-out Sorcha into professional Sorcha this morning did no good, because they still knew I’d recently stumbled from another man’s bed. A flush of heat crawled up my neck.
“My private life isn’t any of your damn business, but I’ll be more sensitive to your animal senses in the future.”
“My animal—?” he stammered. His eyes narrowed, jaw clamping shut.
“Why don’t you just stop sniffing around me?” He didn’t retreat when I edged into his personal space.
“Trust me. If I could toss you out the door, I would.”
“No, you wouldn’t.”
I tilted my chin higher, a clear challenge to Lorian. I tucked a loose curl behind my ear. His intense gaze followed my hand, lingering on my cheek before landing on my lips. I moistened them. Lorian’s whole body jerked as if he’d been slapped. Wild eyes captured mine.
“Be at the building site at ten sharp. Don’t be late or you’ll regret it.”
I leaned over to grab my portfolio and bag, my breasts nearly brushing his arm, but he moved just in time.
I whispered my response. “I’m shaking all over, Mr. Nightwing. Something makes me want to be late so I can see what kind of punishment you’d have in mind.” I shocked him into silence, then gave him my best bedroom smile. “But I’ll be a good girl.” I swished toward the door, feeling his eyes following every sway of my hips. “For now.”
