why yes, that *is* a heavenly choir you hear...

Look what I found! At Goodwill brand new, one of my fave colors, the big size! $8.99 which is a bargain since they start in the $20-30 buck range.

Also picked up a plain white Pyrex mixing bowl with a pour spout (sweet) a Fireking milk glass baking dish and something for a craft. I kept picking stuff up and putting it down. At one point my basket was at about $50 bucks but I walked out for $16 with the one new item costing the most.

Sadly no rubber boots for girl child (marsh mucking later this week for school). So I'll have to hit another store tomorrow to see if I can snag a pair for cheap. So sad that I *cough* have to go back. Who knows, I might *ahem* accidentally stumble over some more Pyrex or milk glass...

woke with this in my head today...

I have a feeling I've blogged this song before. Or used this clip. Weird deja vu-ey thing going on here. Oh well, maybe I have. I adore all things Motown but The Temptation, The Four Tops and The Spinners are my first true loves. My dad, before he died, used to play it at top volume and one of my handful of memories of him is dancing on the tops of his feet.

All I had in my head was "Sunshine, blue skies, pleas go away, My girl's found another and gone away..."

Guess it'll show up in the new book. Which I'm working on today. Until my hand gives out, that is. I've done something to it--pulled it or angered it somehow. So after an hour of typing it cramps up and is damn near unbearable.

When that happens I'll stop and instruct my minions on how to help me decorate for Halloween. And I think we might walk on down to the thrift store and see what there is to see...

Happy Sunday, all.

XOXO

lazy day...

It is chilly and overcast and I have on thick socks and all that jazz. Yay! Fall weather is here. I'm hanging out in the sunroom looking at magazines and kind of sort of plotting my next book in my head because I start this week.

Kids are occupied and I just had a cup of herbal tea and a cup of 'clean eating' soup (so easy: 1 bouillon cube of your choice, 1 cup of water, 2/3 cup of frozen veg and if you want a little protein 2 tsp of Parmesan and that is 100 calories of warm yumminess on a chilly day). In the background is one of my favorite LOL movies evah! The Hot Chick. I mean "you think you're so cool because you can pee with your penis!" What a line. And this here...priceless:

I know that update is 'super exciting'. But I hope you are having the perfect day for you. Just like me...

Gluten Free Pizza

by me. Made with the Bisquick GF mix. Not as good as the biscuits, because this was basically a GIANT biscuit with pizza toppings. But still way better than a lot of the stuff out there. Also you could add more spices and/or some Parmesan as you get the feel for it--tweak your own special recipe, if you will. I'll probably try it again with more spices and try to get it a bit thinner and more uniform.

On a scale of 10 for GF crusts, I give it a 7.5. Udi's pizza crust is still my fave for pizza so far.

But ain't she purdy???

XOXO

sing along with me...

I'm at T. Harrison's blog for the final stop of September's zombie reign of terror. I'm talking about the music that fueled the books and taking requests for number four. Got a song to suggest? Hit me. Do you have soundtracks to your work (or your life)? Tell me!

Visit us here. Because soon it's October and we move on...to wolves.

Look away, look away!

If you're not interested in reviews. I have a few and I'm gonna post them. Feel free to skip this if you're not interested :)

4 kisses for Report for Repair from Top 2 Bottom Reviews.

For readers who believe in and enjoy lust at first sight stories with the potential to grow into something more, this sweet, sexy, and often humorous tale provides just that, with a couple of leading men who needed a little nudge from Mother Nature to jump start their romance and bring them together.

4 ravens for Unexpected at Blackraven Reviews.

I was a little bit surprised by Sommer Marsden's Unexpected. I thought from the blurb that this would be a simple romance about two gay men as parents, which is a trope I enjoy, but there is so much more to the story.

5 puckers for Base Nature at Two Lips Reviews.
It is nice to see something taken seriously but in such a way a lot of readers will want to read this book. The story will stay with me for a long time for its depth and love.

AND WOOHOO THE FIRST OFFICIAL REVIEW FOR...

Lunatic Fringe [WOLF WHISTLE! CAT CALL! CRAZY HILLBILLY REBEL YELL!] 5 hearts from Sizzling Hot Book Reviews.

Lunatic Fringe is probably my favorite so far of the Zombie Exterminator Series and it is hard to beat We Kill Dead Things in my mind. But, Lunatic Fringe delivers action, passion, humor, love, and suspense all at once. I can't wait for the next installment of the Zombie Exterminator Series.

Yay and thanks to all my reviewers for taking the time to review me. I appreciate you!

Okay. I'm done. Carry on. :)

XOXO

I am smellifying my house...

simmering orange peels, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, star anise, nutmeg and ginger. Chemical free and smells great. Smells like fall which I love. Bring it! (hurrrrrrrrrry!).

Great Gluten Free!

I'm going to start doing mini recommendations for GF items as so many of my writer friends, readers and family are finding out they have to eat GF.

Aren't these pretty? Gluten free Bisquick mix offers a biscuit recipe on the back. I made them to go with my beef stew. I would say oh my god, yum! but I'm about to stuff another in my mouth. With tons of butter of course.

Two gluten free thumbs up!

XOXO

Super review of WKDT...

by the lovely Victoria Blisse. I was gobsmacked (I stole that from Alison Tyler who stole it from the entire UK, I guess) when I read this. So nice! Victoria seems to nail all the things I love about the characters and sex in these books. I'm addicted to my crew. Whether anyone reads them or not, I love the exterminators and their tales so much, I'll keep writing them regardless of audience. But ya know...um...I do hope someone's reading them! :)

Here we go--a snippet and a link to the full review:

Poppy, Garrity, Noah and Cahill are brilliant characters. They are zombie killers not so much by choice but driven by the need to survive. They are joined together by friendship, loss and lust and it is a powerful bond. I do love hot, realistic sex that pulls you deep in to a story and Sommer gives her readers that in bucket loads but I am ecstatic when that passion ignites between characters I can really relate to. Sommer is a genius at this, little mundane things shine through the chaos and frenzy of the killing creepers (the group's term for the living dead) and help you to get to know the people behind the cold dispatches of the walking dead.

Read the whole shebang HERE.

XOXO
