I'd like to introduce you to...

One of my current characters. I know he's really hard to look at...but try. Come on. Just for a second...then you can look away. [shyeah, right. like there's a hurry.]

Happy Tuesday.

XOXO

readers...

I'd love to get to know you. I have a lot of visitors and I cherish them all. I love to hear from my fellow writers all the time. But I'd love to hear from more of you. A writer's nothing without readers. True story.

I won't bite. I promise. Unless you ask me nicely. Doesn't have to be a love letter, but I'd love it if you'd introduce yourselves. :) What do you like to read most? How much do you read? Do you read ebooks mostly or print or is it a free for all? Etc...

I'd like to be able to say hi back. And recognize your names when you do choose to speak up and comment on blogs.

XOXO

The Book Queen...

has spoken and declared Automagically a Top Pick. Awesomeness. Read the extremely flattering review here on Night Owl Reviews.

Today I am waiting for the grim reaper to come collect me. Seriously...how long does this stuff take to go away?

Drop down one blog and tell me your favorite poem. I might be dying but I'm still nosy as hell.

XOXO

"Like girls on hands and knees that throw their hair, Before them over their heads to dry in the sun..."

On a random (and yes, sick-day I have grown bored now) pop in at Etsy, I saw these. They made me think of my favorite tree growing up and also one of my top three favorite poems ever. "Birches" by Robert Frost.

I think I'll put them on my *things I want for my 40th birthday* list.

So, anyone have any favorite poems? What are they? Why are they? These are the things that flit around in my brain when I don't feel well. Help a bored girl out.

Hope your Saturday is kicking ass.

XOXO

a cluster of reviews...

Feel free to skip if review snippets are not your thing! I'm still sick but no fever today. However, the day has already been full of surprises. Not all of them good. So...I hope I'm making sense.

4 kisses for Ferryman from Top2Bottom Reviews:
What reinforced the story, made it a worthwhile read for me, is Sommer Marsden's talent for creating magnetic characters.

5 stars for Automagically from Just Erotic Romance Reviews:

Ms. Marsden shows why she is one of my favorite authors with her knack for keeping you involved in the story and delighting in every word...

A 'go forth and read' for Learning To Drown from You Gotta Read Reviews:

Will I read this book again, I already have. Is this a keeper, it already is. Do I recommend it, I already am.

So I am ridiculously sick...

Enjoy a picture of my Gluten Free apple puff pancake. It is the last thing I tasted.

Have a great day! As soon as girl child leaves, I am crawling back into bed and working from there.

A request per the man...

and once midnight EST hits, it's too late. I've never posted a request for him before and that's saying something. And he loathes all things FB. But he read this amazing story and was moved to ask me to do whatever I could.

"Since you do that Facebook stuff."

So go read Lindsay's story and then go HERE and like her for the winner of the fairytale wedding. This is free Karma. One click and you have a warm fuzzy for the rest of the day. And despite how it sounds, I mean that in the cleanest possible way.

Thanks and love to all who take a second to click a fairytale ending into existence.

XOXO

Nice-nice stuff...

There's a review of Kinky Girls: An Xcite Collection of Women on the Wild Side
up on Erotica Revealed this month! Ashley Lister gives his take on this dirty-dirty book. In the process, he said this about yours truly:

Sommer Marsden is well-known and deservedly respected in the world of erotic fiction. She writes hot, exciting fiction that sizzles with erotic anticipation. Her characters are vivid and horny and eminently likeable. And her stories are compelling and satisfying the way that arousing erotic fiction needs to be satisfying...

Why thank you, Ashley, you are super! [the check is in the mail ;)]

so if you wanted...

to win a zombie exterminator book (you can choose 1, 2 or 3) containing hot, blue-haired zombie killing Poppy and three staggeringly hot and undead-deadly, men...well you still have time. And I have to say [heh] your odds are pretty good...

Runs until tomorrow October 5th.
