Gay Teen Left For Dead After Hook Up On Dating Site Goes Wrong, Ryan Field Books

Gay Teen Left For Dead After Hook Up On Dating Site Goes Wrong

Another sad story from the global front. This time it's from Jamaica. An 18-year-old gay boy trying to hook up with a man he'd met on a dating site wound up kidnapped, beaten, and set afire.

But that's not all. They robbed him and mutilated him as well.

“They returned to where they were holding their victim, and on this occasion, he was forced to transfer money into an account that they gave him,” a police officer told the paper.

The of...

Billy Porter Calls Out Harry Styles' Straight White Privilege, Ryan Field Books

Billy Porter Calls Out Harry Styles' Straight White Privilege

It has been truly amazing to watch the clueless straight white people not understand this. And many of them are so-called allies. Billy Porter has been breaking borders for years now with his gender-bending style. He's worn dresses to the Oscars and other clothing that transcends what's considered "normal." Harry Styles is also known for shocking people with his outfits but in a much less authentic way. Styles doesn't really identify a...

Bond's LGBTQ Reveal Repeats Disney's Gay Issues, Ryan Field Books,

Bond's LGBTQ Reveal Repeats Disney's Gay Issues

Once again they add an LGBTQ character only to fall short of giving that character substance in importance. In their attempt to represent all sexual orientations, they never seem to get it right. It's always something superficial and backward.

As result, Disney has been accused of "queerbaiting" by audiences who feel that the LGBTQ characters aren't really for inclusion, but simply for a headline and attract the "pink dollar."

You can read the rest h...

Dutch Royals Can Marry Same Sex Partners

Dutch Royals Can Marry Same Sex Partners

Here’s something interesting. It’s usually so rigid with royals that they are forced to remain in the closet all their lives...which is why we know so little about gay royalty. It’s just never been discussed...until now.

"The government believes that the heir can also marry a person of the same sex," Rutte wrote in a letter...

Here’s a link.  I hope the UK is paying attention. With all the royals in the UK I am shocked there are no openly gay royals.

 Th...

Daniel Craig Just Loves Gay Bars, Ryan Field Gay Fiction

 Daniel Craig Loves Gay Bars

I’m not even sure who Daniel Craig is, but I guess I understand why Craig loves gay bars. A lot of gay men love straight men. It seems we often like what’s different from what we know.

"I’ve been going to gay bars for as long as I can remember," the 53-year-old No Time to Die star told Bozzi during their  interview.

Here’s more. https://www.google.com/amp/s/news.yahoo.com/amphtml/daniel-craig-loves-gay-bars-150717810.html

Over the years I saw many straight people going ...

The Meaning of Having Privilege, Ryan Field Books

 The Meaning of Having Privilege

I see people mistake the concept of privilege all the time. When I saw this article I decided to share it just so I have a reference to check out from time to time. It's very simple, concise, and it gets right to the heart of the topic. And it has nothing to do with what kind of job you have, how much money you have, or what kind of car you drive. It has nothing to do with your background.

Here's one about straight privilege. Yes, you were born with a certain kind...

Character Actor Richard Deacon was Gay and in the Closet, Ryan Field Gay Fiction

Character Actor Richard Deacon was Gay and in the Closet

I think Richard Deacon is best known for his role in The Dick Van Dyke Show in the early 1960s. He played many other parts during his lifetime, including Fred Rutherford on Leave it to Beaver, but when I think of Deacon I think of Mel from Dick Van Dyke's show.

With that said, he wasn't someone you'd wonder about. He looked straight, he played straight parts, and I was surprised to learn that he was gay. I don't think anyone would have gues...

National Coming Out Day Doesn't Mean It's Easy to Come Out, Ryan Field Books

National Coming Out Day Doesn't Mean It's Easy to Come Out

I wish the straight people would realize and understand this. I know they're only being supportive when they expect all gay people to come out, but does that make being clueless okay? I don't think so.

The fact is that National Coming Out Day is wonderful for gay people who have already come out. It is a day of celebration for people who are already out. And in some ways, I hope it's an encouraging message to those who are not out yet. A...

The Fight to Remove "Homosexuality's" Label As a "Mental Disorder," Ryan Field Gay Fiction

The Fight to Remove "Homosexuality's" Label As a "Mental Disorder"

I put the word "homosexuality" in quotes because I don't like it. I dislike everything there is about the word because it makes gay people sound as though they are defined by their sexuality. And that's not so. We have very distinct cultures, both gay men and women, and sexuality is not the only thing that defines us.

With that said, it's a little ironic that they use the word so freely when discussing the label, "mental disorder....

Tom Daley Calls For Olympic Ban on Hateful Homophobic Countries, Ryan Field Books

Tom Daley Calls For Olympic Ban on Hateful Homophobic Countries

I'm glad Daley is using his platform to do this. More openly gay people with platforms should be calling for things like this. They should be letting the world know what it's like for gay people in other countries, especially in countries in Africa. I follow a not-so-well-known celebrity who was recently bragging about her trip to one of the most homophobic countries in Africa. Of course, she's straight and doesn't have a clue. But s...
