Stephen Baldwin: Pray Gay Away; Flipping the Bird in Prague

Stephen Baldwin: Pray Gay Away

The Rising From the Ashes is a conference where different ministries get together to promote the concept of "freedom from homosexuality through Jesus Christ." Actor Stephen Baldwin recently defended his choice to speak at the conference.

"I wouldn't say that my message is, 'You can pray the gay away,'" Baldwin said. "Literally, some of my best friends in the world are gay, and they know I'm evangelical and I know they're gay, and we love each other and respec...

What's A Gay Otter? GRL 2013; Gay Marriage NJ

What's A Gay Otter?

If you've never heard the term "Otter" before with respect to gay culture, don't worry about it. I didn't even know what it was until recently. I asked Tony what it was; he didn't know. And at a small dinner party recently I asked  a table of eight filled with LGBT people and none of them knew. Everyone knew the term "Bear," but not Otter.

And that's because Otter is actually a term that's part of Bear sub-culture. Urban Dictionary describes Otter this way:

A fuzzy ador...

Erotic Authors Strike Back; NYT Sex Issue Sans Romance Authors

Erotic Authors Strike Back

The title of the article to which I'm linking now is "Self-published Erotica Writers Strike Back," but once again, that's not completely true and the article is misleading on several levels. When large retail web sites where e-books are sold started targeting/censoring books for questionable content, they did begin with self-published books. But I know for a fact that e-publishers are now dealing with the fallout, too.

I hesitate to post anything more about that unti...

$100,000 to Look Like Bieber; More E-Books on Allromanceebooks.com (by Ryan Field)

$100,000 to Look Like Bieber

A thirty-three year old man went through five years of cosmetic surgery and spent $100,000 to look like Justin Bieber. Now that's real fandom.

Not only is songwriter Toby Sheldon a 33-year-old Justin Bieber fan , his Bieber-devotion would blow teeny-bopping Beliebers out of the water .

That's because Sheldon went so far as to spend almost $100,000 on five years worth of plastic surgery to make him look like his idol, according to the British tabloid Closer .

I wonder...

8 Companies Don't Support Gays; Eminem's Gay Slurs

8 Companies Don't Support Gays

I honestly don't know much about this, other than what I've read and posted about Barilla, but according to this article there are 8 other companies that don't support gay rights. A few like Chick-fil-a won't surprise you, but several others will.

I stopped eating Domino's in college when a good friend informed me that they gave money to anti-choice groups. But their pizza isn't good, so it's not like I was really giving up anything awesome. However, in addition t...

Straight Guys Flirt with Gays; Ryan Field Allromanceebooks; FREE Excerpt Cherry Soda Cowboy

Straight Guys Flirt with Gays

If you talk to any gay man and mention straight guys flirting with gay guys the gay man won't look back at you in shock. And that's because it happens all the time. But more important, in this case there's really no set rule or stereotype to follow either and in many cases the flirting sometimes leads to more...but not always.

This particular blog post I'm linking to now discusses the attraction gay men have for straight men in a more streetwise way that...

Man Picks Up Tab

If you, a friend, or a family member has ever received that dreaded phone call about a diagnosis that's going to change your entire life, you'll understand this article to which I'm linking. A guy in Boston was sitting next to two women...mother and daughter...and he overheard them actually get a diagnosis on the phone and saw them break out on tears. And what this guy did after that is amazing.

This account comes from the waiter:

The single guy who had been sitt...

FREE Gay Romance: Internal Desires on Allromanceebooks.com

FREE Gay Romance: Internal Desires on Allromanceebooks.com

This past weekend I posted about my gay romance, Internal Desires, having issues with Amazon. And since the KDP select exclusive with Amazon recently expired around the same time, I decided to opt out of KDP select altogether put Internal Desires up on Allromanceebooks.com for free until Sunday night. I also wanted to do this for those who can't attend the Gay Rom Lit conference in Atlanta this weekend because they have...

Tastier Semen; 10 Tips from Golden Girls; Einstein's Cute Pumps

Tastier Semen

I noticed an interesting article over at gayguys.com and thought I'd share it. What you do with this information is up to you, and everyone I've ever met seems to have a different opinion on this subject. Some go, "ick," others go, "yum." If nothing else, there are a few good healthy eating tips most of us could benefit from.

Our semen taste is a major result of what we eat, so if you’re eating Quarter Pounders all day, you better sit down and take some notes. Food alters not...

David Henry Sterry: Cambodian Sex Workers Interview

David Henry Sterry: Cambodian Sex Workers Interview

I found a link to an interview with David Henry Sterry  in my inbox today and read it in full. It's an interview with author Heidi Hoefinger, who wrote a book about Cambodian Sex Workers. And it's not only an eye-opener but also dispels a few myths I've read/heard before. The book is titled, Sex, Love and Money in Cambodia: Professional Girlfriends and Transactional Relationships. The information she obtained for the book came by he...
