Large Print Woodland Daughter

My historical family saga, Woodland Daughter, has been released in large print in the UK and I've just seen the cover for it. I've put it on here but it's not very clear for some reason, sigh. blurb:
Throughout her years of devoted service to the Bradburys, Eden Harris has hidden a secret that would affect them all, a secret shared only with her husband, Nathan, and her grandfather. But an enemy returns, shattering her world and exposing her secret. Then, robbed of Nathan, she must flee from the

Meme?

Okay, my dear friend Anita Davison has tagged me to do the seven deadly sins thing - you're supposed to lie in one of them? I'm not sure how it works but I'll give it a go.

Pride:
Well, I suppose like all mothers I'm proud of my children. Is that boring? Probably. But that's the truth. Jack, Josh and Eleanor are three beautiful, generous, trustworthy and smart kids. I'm very proud to be their Mum and I think my hubby and I have done a good job with them so far. I'm trying to turn my young men out

Getting it down.

Despite a head cold which is annoying the crap out of me, I've been managing to keep writing when not at work, which is mainly weekends when I don't write anyway because the house being full of people - oh right, they're my family, that's it, I keep forgetting.
Anyway, I'm writing the current family drama saga story, just another 30k or so to go and the first draft is finished. Yay! I love it when a book will just sings to me. I feel such a sense of achievement when the first draft is done, as th

Special Guest Blogger: Janis Susan May!

Can you tell me a little about yourself?
My dear Anne, there is very little about me that is little! I’ve been a queen-sized woman (or, as I put it, a grown-up sized woman) all my life and have, my friends tell me, lived a larger-than-life life!
Personally, I think I’m rather dull. I love to cook and read and my favourite pick-me-up is a quick loll in the backyard hot tub, which was one of our wedding presents. I’m a seventh generation Texan – my family came here in the last gasps of the 1700s, w

Special Guest Blogger: Nancy Famolari!

I have a special guest to my blog this week, author Nancy Famolari!

Please tell me about yourself.
I live on a farm in the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania with my husband, five horses, two dogs and six white cats. We have four sons, all married, and six grandchildren. Unfortunately we don't see them often since they all live quite far away and the farm keeps us busy.

Our favorite activity is riding our horses. We have three Paso Finos and one Morgan gelding that we use for riding. Paso Finos are

Second hand book sales?

I try always to buy new for fiction and most non-fiction, I like to help authors get their royalties. LOL
With some old reference books, they are impossible to get new, so I don't mind buying them second hand or from the library.
With new authors I try to borrow their book from the library and if I like them, then I will buy all their books new.
This rule worked well for me last week when I borrowed a book from an author new to me (one I nearly bought new). I started reading the book, but it was in

A Noble Place - Australian historical novel.

Sharing an excerpt of my Australian historical.

Blurb Australia 1850. Phillippa Noble, strong minded, spirited and adventurous, urges and encourages her parents and her twin to emigrate to the distant land of Australia to begin again. In a new country they can put their tainted past behind them, and Pippa can forget the unrequited love she felt for a distant cousin. Pippa blossoms in the new country and is determined that their horse stud will be the finest in the land. However, circumstances ens

Books read in the last two weeks.

I've read two really great good books lately.

The first one is by Maureen Lee. I've not read this British author before but greatly enjoyed this book, which is the first of a trilogy. I've ordered the next book.

Lights Out Liverpool

As Britain stands alone against a monstrous enemy, the inhabitants of Pearl Street face hardship and heartbreak with courage and humour. The war touches each of them in a different way: for Annie Poulson, a widow, it means never-ending worry when her twin boys are cal

ANZAC Day - April 25th

Sadly due to going to work I cannot go to the service for ANZAC Day. Sigh.

But I am there in spirit, wearing my poppy.

Lest We Forget.
