Siouxland Freedom Park “Freedom Ball 2024”
I received the special invitation to be part of the Freedom Ball 2024: Honoring Those on the Home Front as an annual fundraiser for Siouxland Freedom Park, a 55-acre riverfront public park in South Sioux City, NE dedicated to the contributions of veterans from all services and all conflicts. Theyve also constructed the The Brigadier General Bud and Doris Day Interpretive Center in memory of one of my fellow Vietnam POWs and his wife.
The people of South Sioux City have done a fantastic job keeping the contributions of veterans in the minds and heart of their part of the world. It was an honor to be a small part of this special event.

William Manchester contends that even more than his leadership in combat, Churchills finest hour was the uphill battle against appeasement.
