Flowing like honey
So I was supposed to go to a writer's retreat with Christine d'Abo, J.K. Coi, Leah Braemel, Kimber Chin and Wylie Kinson this weekend. The kids got sick.
Dang it. I was hoping I could use the weekend away to get a HUGE chunk of my Urban Fantasy done.
I did anyways. I participated through Instant Messaging and managed to hit my 10k goal by Saturday evening. Friday I wrote about 2600 words and on Saturday … oh Saturday was like the days of old. I wrote 7806 words on Saturday.
When I started on...

Music makes the people…
I'm blogging the Romance Studio blog on Friday about music and how it effects my writing mood. Talking about play lists and the current albums burning my ear drums.
Come tell me your music tastes here.

Working out of the comfort zone
I've always thought I was a historical girl, or if I wrote outside of the historical box it tended to be erotic or romantica. I've started an Urban Fantasy. Romance is not the main focus this time. It's set in our time, but with paranormal happenings. My heroine is a bit rough around the edges.
And it's going really well.
I planned it to be NaNo story. I started writing last Friday to test the waters…well did I ever get my feet sopping wet. It's day four of working (since I didn't do any work o...

Sinful Indulgence
This is late posting but darn it I was busy today. My DH has been away for a week and I haven't had a moment to myself. He came home today, and early too.
Anyways, sinful indulgences is what I was talking about at Naughty & Spice today. Come by and visit.

"Since when …
did you start listening the hard stuff?" asked my DH when I was listening to Breaking Benjamin.
Hmm. Well, I kind of always liked hard things, but not a whole lot.
Lately I've been immersing myself in Breaking Benjamin and some monster ballads for my UF. Yeah, I know what the heck am I doing writing a romantic UF. I have no idea, but I'm loving it.
I'm also writing the WIP from my plotting binder. I do a scene a day. And that is a historical.
So I'm writing at both ends of the spectrum again. ...

Finely Aged Anthology
My Oh Yum! Love Thy Neighbor was released today in a print anthology titled Finely Aged! YAY! Nothing like a release to start of a weekend … which will be full of edits. [image error]

Ugh the badness continues
I'm still a bad blogger.
I freely admitted it, but I still transgressed. I'm still buried in my writing cave. I thought with B going to school full time I would have more time. Nope. Sumo is sad and bored that his sister isn't around and The Bump is growing out of that newborn phase and becoming more active and alert and demanding my attention. What I thought was burgeoning freedom is not. ACK!
I have finished one piece of writing that has gone through the usual sources, and now I am just...

Bad Blogger … BAD
I know, I know I've been MIA, but a lot of stuff has been going on. First I FINISHED PLOTTING!!! WOOT! You should see the gorgeousness of my plotting. I have a binder with character sketches, scene capsules, outlines. It is beautiful. I'm also working hard on my MT course which is proving interesting.
I got an amazing review for HARD CANDY from Fallen Angels.
AND I finished a project! WOOT! It's been a while. Of course I am still deep in my cave writing, plotting out new stuff and dealing...

Still Plotting
Yep, I promised you I'd keep it up, and I am.
Actually, it's coming along amazingly. I'm surprised. I worked ahead, I couldn't help myself. Now I'm writing draft scenes for each chapter. Just blurbs so that I know what I will be writing about. Next I'll be making a Timeline and then formatting a Table of Contents. Then I can work on writing and this should help if I get a block because I'll know what happens within a scene.
It's a lot of work up front, but the theory in this book is if you do this

I'm plotting today
No seriously I am. I'm plotting.
The plotting side of Amy isn't like Polkaroo, she does exist. She just rarely comes out, and if she does it's always when no one else is around to prove her existence. [image error]
I have too many stories on the go, too many things to keep track of. Plotting in this case is essential. I generally fly by the seat of my pants, but last night I started blending two different stories … and trust me they were totally different.
