Refactoring released on informit
You can now order the second edition of Refactoring from
informit, in both physical and ebook formats. It will become available on
Amazon in the next few days.

Pre-ordered Refactoring books are now shipping
I heard from my editor at Pearson that copies of books pre-ordered on
informit.com are now shipping.
Pearson is also sending books to Amazon. Although Amazon still shows a Dec
31 availability date, they usually update that once they get stock in
their distribution centers.
The ebooks will be available soon on informit, possibly as early as
Friday. Kindle editions on Amazon usually show up a week or so later.

Refactoring 2nd Ed printed
A quick update on the latest state of play for the book. The books have
been printed and are on their way to Pearson's warehouse. I've completed
the files for the web edition, but we need to test them on Pearson's
infrastructure. Once those are done, we can release the book for people to
buy. We hope to flip the switch on InformIT (Pearson's web site) early
next week. Amazon should follow shortly after that. Thanksgiving may add
some delay, all those turkeys clog up the supply lines. But I'll let
everyone know more as I find out more.
Updated refactoring.com for second edition
With the new edition of my book on refactoring getting close to the
bookshelves, I've spent some time to update refactoring.com. I've changed
the visual design, put together a new home page to summarize what
refactoring is, and updated the catalog.

Working on the Web Edition of Refactoring 2nd Ed
After a couple of ThoughtWorks meetings, I've put decent work into the
web edition of the book. While I still have a few things to do, it's now
close to done.

Refactoring 2nd Ed sent to printers
The files for the book were sent to the printers today. The printed
books should arrive in warehouses late October - early November. I need to
work on getting the web edition ready for then, and will start on that in
a couple of weeks.

Four additions to my list of Eurogames
Over the last couple of weeks, I've updated my list of Eurogames to
include short reviews for four games I acquired earlier this year:
Concordia, Kingdom Builder, Azul, and Glass Road.
Changes for 2nd Edition of Refactoring
Here's summary of the changes in the second edition, including a table
showing the fate of the original 68 refactorings and a list of the new ones.
