Enough

Today’s message is to me, but it’s also for you. No need to prove yourself worthy. You are complete and completely loved as you are.

I am studying this

I’ve been reading a lot about minimalism and simplicity. So this piece is as simple and minimal as it gets. What are your book, blog and podcast recommendations for my research adventure?

You need this.

Jesus would You bring this simple little word to fruition in my friends’ lives today? Sing joy over them. Infuse them. Steep them in abundance today. Amen.

Loving Jesus & Hooking Up

In my recent co-authored book, The Day I Met Jesus, I retell the story of the woman caught in adultery. At the end of her story, after all the folks who understood their sin slipped away, she is left alone with the Only One who could and should condemn her. Jesus, the Perfect One, tells […]

Make this choice today

It’s true. And I’m happiest when I’m singing my gratitude rather than lamenting my lot.

A longterm dream

It’s been my dream a long time to have a big old farm table, wooden and sturdy, in my backyard with mismatched chairs and awesome friends gathered around. Perhaps 2015 will be the year I find the perfect one. (And if I could add a dream, a brick pizza oven would magically appear nearby!)

7 Things Art Taught Me About Life

This week’s podcast is a little unusual, but I pray it helps you see yourself as an artist and a creative follower of Jesus. He has taught me SO MUCH through this Lenten art project. I’d love for you to be brave in this area too!

Letting go

Today, again, I surrendered these things to Jesus. I pictured a bird nabbing the list from me and flying them to heaven. And since I can’t fly, I can’t retrieve my surrender list.  What do you need to surrender today? What needs to fly away from you?

What story are you trying to complete?

What story are you desperately seeking an ending to? Maybe it’s the story from way back when…when you were overlooked and you have spent your entire life trying to finish that story favorably. That we will applaud you or that you are worth noticing. Guess what? Jesus, the Alpha and Omega has begun your […]
