A Few Things

Since I have nothing coming out for a while, I still feel the need to provide an update so you don't forget I exist!


I'm well into Sutter's Bay 4, which now officially has the title of Finding Forever. This is Leo's story. I know many people might have assumed that Leo was going to be matched with Tony, Galaxy's friend, but I decided to match Leo with someone his own age. If you wonder what might be in store for future stories for Sutter's Bay, I have one in mind for Rex's troubled brother, Steve (mentioned in Twice in a Lifetime ) as the next Sutter's Bay story (#5). Tony will probably conclude the series at #6 unless I suddenly get inspired to write more stories from that little town. At the moment, though, I have no plans to go beyond #6.


And speaking of series I do have a story in mind for the next "His" book but not sure when I can get to writing it. This one will go way back to Regency times. I don't write too many historicals these days but I can't totally seem to get away from them since I once only read and wrote historicals myself. For the most part I feel I have a contemporary voice, but this is a story I've been wanting to write for a long time, so I am going to do so. When, beats me.


Further speaking of series books, I have an idea for a trilogy. Related books similar to the Only series, in that each book will feature a different couple but are related to the others. Not sure when I will get to those books either. Probably late 2012.


Up next on the writing agenda following Finding Forever is my fairytale sleeping beauty story, Waking the Prince . I started this story some time ago, originally for a sub call for another publisher. I never got it finished in time fore that and have been messing with it ever since. But AQ decided to do a fairytale Pax collection and with Waking the Prince in mind, I signed up for it. I have to have it finished by September 01, but I've got a jump on it and am really happy with what I've got so far, so I think I can get it done in plenty of time for the deadline.


Finally, the first six "His" stories will be available sometime in May in a paperback. I don't have a cover yet but it will show up there on the side when I do.  


That's pretty much it as far as updatess for me.

What I am Working on Now

Okay, so I am officially working on Sutter's Bay 4 now. That's Leo's story for anyone who keeps track of the Sutter's Bay series. Leo is Galaxy's little brother from Galaxy's Heart. And no, in case you are wondering Tony, Galaxy's best friend, is not Leo's hero. To be honest I was intitally heading in that direction when something else hit me. I still intend to give Tony his own story, but at the moment he lives in LA and I have to get him to move to Sutter's Bay first.

I'm giving myself two and a half months to work on Leo's story. So I hope to be finished by the end of May when I have to turn my attention to my fairytale, Waking the Prince , which is due September 01.

A Few Updates

I'm working away on a story called, One More Time . I am getting very close to being finished with it and hope by the middle of the month I will have it finished. I'm excited about this story as I really liked writing it.

After that, it's on to Leo's story for Sutter's Bay 4, which I hope to have finished by the end of May (when I am tentatively planning a little excursion trip to Boston). Poor Leo doesn't have a title yet but hopefully I'll be inspired for that soon.

In other news, the first six "His" stories will be gathered together in a paperback collection from Amber Quill, coming out sometime in May. As an ebook author it's sometimes pretty cool to see your name on a paperback. I'm of an age where when I was younger that's all there was, so having a nice little glossy package to hold in your hands is a "squee" moment.

Finally His Contest

My last contest for my last release for a while! Don't worry, I'll have more at some point, :)



Jay Anderson lives next door to the ruggedly handsome man of his dreams, detective Drake Hanover. He wishes their friendship could turn into more, but there's a problem -- Drake's ex-boyfriend, who has a habit of calling Drake after his breakups.
