Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo, one of the most critical voices against the policies of incumbent President Rodrigo Duterte, confirmed his candidacy for next year’s presidential election on Thursday.
“I am firm in my resolution, we have to get rid of the current situation. I will fight. We will fight. I am running as a presidential candidate in the 2022 elections,” Robredo said in a televised address before formalizing his candidacy.

IEA: Methane emissions from fossil fuels can be reduced by 75%
Global methane emissions from fossil fuels could be reduced by 75% between 2020 and 2030 if a coherent global strategy is achieved, says the International Energy Agency (IEA).
