Crisman Strunk is an English and History teacher at the high school level and a professor at a local university. He is also the author of novels such as A Grave Every Mile and the upcoming All the Glory is Gone in the John Holmes series and A Hard Frost in the Gaol County Mystery series. He has loved reading and writing all his life. His family and friends have been “blessed” with comics, Star Trek technical manuals (big during his awkward middle school years), poems of excruciating badness, short stories, and novels throughout the years. He has also published some of these for the world at large. Throughout this reading and writing adventure, mysteries and thrillers have always been a favorite.

The question above this section is: What did you think?

The truth is, I'm not sure what I think. Philip K. Dick wrote novels that you have to think about, have to ponder. There are very few easy answers in one of his novels. I have read that it's more

Another great read in the Hardman series. Every time you pick up a Hardman book, it's like hanging out with old friends again. Maybe friends you wouldn't want to hang out with all the time--they'd land you in far too much trouble--but it is certainly ...more

A quick (and dirty read). But dirt in all the right places. All of Phillip's narrators (or at least in the books I read) aren't anti-heroes. They are not heroes in any sense of the world, completely oblivious to their own depravity. But, despite this ...more

For the first few chapters, I wasn't sure that I was going to finish the book. But then, the story kicked in, and I found myself getting lost in it. A really good book. Not a dystopian novel, by any means, but not one with a trite happy ending either ...more
