Current WIP Extract

As you deal the final blow, you hear high-pitched laughter coming from behind you. Turning, you see something insubstantial melt into view. It is a figure...and a figure you recognise. It is the skull-headed phantom from the forest!

You freeze; dread drips into your veins as you stare into the hollow, black sockets of a diabolic ram.

The terror points a smoky tendril in your direction. “Reckoning.”
