Sometimes dealing with our clutter is difficult because it asks us to look into our past.

Bonnie knows all about how difficult it can be to look into the past, but she has also experienced personal growth by working through some of the ways her past affects her present. Growing up as a Chinese American daughter of a mail-order bride and a busboy working in San Francisco Chinatown, Bonnie Gray had never truly felt beautiful or beloved. She had built her life to look pleasant and ordinary, with a wonderful husband, two amazing boys, and a thriving career. But despite these blessings, she still felt the tugging emptiness of a missing piece.
At 39, a long-forgotten birth certificate in an old file cabinet sparked a curiosity Bonnie couldn’t ignore. Determined to uncover family secrets and understand the home she was born into, Bonnie embarked on a journey that would leave her forever changed. Returning to the culture, places, and stories that shaped her, her search led her to soul-shaking discoveries about her identity, human kindness, and what it truly means to be loved.
Sweet Like Jasmine is a profoundly moving account of how God uses our unique and broken stories to create a beautiful mosaic of His love, one life at a time.
Feel seen and valued, because you are worthy of loving, resting in God’s love for you.See the grace woven in each chapter of your life and embrace the wholeness of who you are.Learn to listen deeply to your life and feel empowered in your true worth.Find freedom, hope, and healing in rewriting your stories with faith.Through powerful truths and insightful reflection prompts, find beauty out of brokenness and belonging out of loneliness.

Still, with her literary hero Sherlock Holmes as inspiration, Annalee launches her hunt for clues, attracting two surprising allies: Eddie, a relentless young orphan searching for his missing father, and Jack, a handsome young Black pastor who loves nightclub dancing and fast cars–awakening Annalee’s heart to the surprising highs and lows of romance and love.

480 Buried in Busyness? Author Becky Keife Helps You Simplify Your Life with the Simple Difference

Kathi is here today with Becky Keife, author of The Simple Difference. They are leaning more heavily on the live more life aspect of being clutter-free. Kathi and Becky explore how every small kindness makes a big impact and we can incorporate it into our everyday life. Many of our clutter problems are often rooted in living in the past or the future, causing us to neglect the present. Join Kathi and Becky’s conversation to learn things we can do right now that help with being clutter-free and making a difference through kindness, including:
Being where your feet areLive eyes wide openConsider your STEM resources

We’ve all got a lot of questions these days: In a world marked by division, how do we create bridges of meaningful connection? When despair runs rampant, is real hope possible? When competition is elevated, is compassion still relevant? And at the end of the day, can one person really make any impact at all?
When the world’s problems loom large and your ordinary life stretches you thin, it is still possible to be a difference-maker–one small, intentional, extravagant act of kindness at a time.
Rather than telling you to do more, The Simple Difference shows you how to see more: more of the people in front of you, more of God’s lavish love for you, more of his power within you. The Simple Difference will help you
– stop getting buried in busyness and distraction and discover countless opportunities for impact right where you are
– remove your perceived limitations and learn to see that your “not-enough” is exactly what the world needs
– discard expectations of what it takes to make a difference and delight in the life-changing power of simple kindness
The Simple Difference isn’t about totally changing the course of your life; it’s about letting God change you and work through you in the midst of your ordinary days. To say, As I go on my way, Lord, have your way with me. Be a part of The Simple Difference movement–your life and the world will never be the same.

479 A Place for Everything: How to Actually Get Organized for Good Part 3

Coming in for the third round of teaching us all things organization are Kathi and Tonya, the organizational queen who gets things done. Really only 10 percent of organization has to do with the frou frou stuff. The other 90 percent can be split into thirds. In the first episode, Kathi and Tonya walked us through the first 30 percent: decluttering the nonsense so we don’t have to touch it again. The second episode covered the next 30 percent and was all about making decisions in advance and bossing our inner child around. Now, in the finale, they’re talking about how to put those decisions into action and showing us:
• We underestimate the fatigue of many little decisions
• How these decisions end up zapping our energy
• What Mr. Rogers has to do with organization
