Monday Musings
Stop and smell the roses! We live in such a fast-paced world that who knows what we miss a lot along the way? Sometimes it's the little things that can make our day, cause us to smile, and feel good about ourselves. So slow down.

Welcome to chapter two of Hers to Claim.
Chapter Two
“Nice place.”
Blake’s gaze moved around the small condo that was furnished in a style that
fell somewhere between the tastes of a conservative accountant and his gypsy
sister. He’d always thought of Lilly that way because she was on the wild side,
especially in bed. The only thing that appeared to have changed since he saw

Thursday Thoughts
I've always heard write about what you know. Well, I know a little about a lot of things, and if I only wrote about what I know I would have stopped writing a long time ago. Research is a necessary evil I fought tooth and nail to avoid in the beginning. I absolutely hated it! But now, with my trusty mini Google, Siri, and the computer research is a breeze, and it's actually fun learning something

Quality is better than quantity. Some folks think the more friends you have the better. A true friend is someone you can count on, someone who accepts you totally, faults and all. Someone you can be yourself with, fight with, take trips with, and laugh with. You know the names of their kids, and their pets. The others are just acquaintances. If you manage to have one or two real friends in your

Damn, it was hot! At least ninety-eight degrees and no breeze
of any kind. The Florida sun felt like a ball of fire against the back of
Lilly’s neck. But she was determined to finish her gardening on the patio area
outside the condo she shared with her brother. She loved flowers and had made

Thursday Thoughts
Don't kill off the hero! I've only read one romance where that happened, thank God. No one wants to read a romance to have it end that way. That's not romance! That's a big fat disappointment! And it makes the reader mad. Oh, and that includes the heroine. I just remembered that I did read a dark romance where the heroine died at the end giving birth. No! No! No!

Don't be afraid to try new things. I accidentally bought a pre-made meal from Amy's. I didn't know that it had tofu in it until I'd heated it up. Oh, well, it's all I had for dinner so I ate it. I have to admit that it was really yummy!

Chapter 5
Rachel was vaguely aware of someone joining her in bed, but
she was too tired to let it draw her completely awake. Soon pleasant warmth
moved against her backside, an arm slipped over her, and she was nestled in the
cradle of male hips.
Warm lips tickled her ear. “Are you sleeping
