22 Jump Street
Just got back from seeing 22 Jump Street. I vaguely remember 21 Jump Street when it was on TV and I never saw the movie, but I really enjoyed this movie. It had quite a few funny scenes and Channing Tatum is always nice to look at.

The Yogurt Scene
Unedited excerpt of Lovers, due out on July first. The next chapter in Bishop and Angel's story. Below is the yogurt scene in the story."Yogurt?" Angel asked, giving Bishop an amused look. She remembered his response when she'd offered him one for breakfast their first morning together a month ago.
“No self-respecting SEAL would be caught dead eating that girly stuff.”
Her heart swelled. The exact words he'd said then, too. "Have you ever tried one?"
She went to the fridge, knowing Diana always kept it stocked with yogurt because she loved it, too. She reached inside for the first one her eyes lit on, a fruity pineapple. A sharp whistle had her straightening when she realized her short robe had ridden up the backs of her thighs. She turned around to a wolfy look on Bishop's face, while Diana rolled her eyes. Angel got a spoon and walked toward him with determination.
"You're not going to get me to try it," he said with a smile in his eyes.
"Oh, oh!" Diana laughed. "A challenge!"
Angel stopped in front of Bishop and batted her eye lashes. He crossed his arms and raised a brow. "You can bat those long lashes all damned day."
Angel said nothing. She set the yogurt down and opened it. Scooped some onto a spoon and held the spoon up to him, batting her lashes again. Diana laughed, but Bishop remained unmoved. Angel took a bite, closed her eyes and groaned as if in the throes of an orgasm. When she opened them again it was to see the flash of fire in his. His expression grew taut with his obvious determination to stay unaffected. She held the spoon up again, closer to his mouth.
He shook his head. "Not going to happen, baby."
Angel stared at him for a moment, before reaching up and opening the top of her robe just enough to show some cleavage. Bishop's gaze was drawn there, and a muscle appeared in his jaw. She offered him the spoon again, with a smile of victory on her face. That was all he needed to see to take a deep breath and shake his head again.
"Good try but I'm not going to give in to temptation."
He was tempted? That gave Angel an idea. She glanced at Diana. "You might want to turn around for this."
"Not on your life," Diana said. "I want to see who caves first."
"Don't say I didn't warn you," Angel replied. She met Bishop's eyes. Did he look nervous? Her smile widened, she'd get him to try it by playing dirty. "Oops!" The yogurt slipped off the spoon landing in her cleavage. His eyes darkened and the raw expression on his face spoke volumes.
Diana just groaned, turned around and walked out of the room. "I'll be outside watering the flowers."
"You don't play fair, honey." He reached for her but Angel danced away from him.
"Are you ready to try some yogurt?" she said in a teasing voice. She opened her robe further, exposing her breasts except for the nipples. A chunk of pineapple slipped further down.
"What is that?" Bishop asked, watching it slide between her breasts.
"Why don't you taste it and decide for yourself?" She smashed her breasts together, spreading the creamy mixture.
A low groan sounded through the kitchen and Bishop reached for her again, this time snagging the sash around her waist. Angel gasped when he jerked her against him. Then she moaned loudly when he lowered his head and began to lap up the yogurt. The warmth of his tongue as it scraped against her flesh left her tingling and excited.

Happy Father's Day
My dad has been gone for almost twenty years, yet I dream about him all the time. They say that your loved ones who have passed visit you in your dreams, so I'd like to believe that. My dad wasn't in my life much as I was growing up, as he was in Maine and my mom moved us to Florida. We did keep in touch with letters and phone calls, and I was able to visit with him once a year. When I was thirteen I got to spend the whole summer with him. Those visits showed me that we had a few things in common besides our brown eyes and dark hair.
We both loved the rain and storms. We both had the same warped sense of humor, and we knew how to push each others buttons. We both loved animals, being in the country, and cookouts.
We both loved my step-mom, Opal.
I spent the last four months of his life with him, taking care of him until he passed. He wanted to die at home and I was determined to make that happen.
I miss you, dad.

I'm cat/house sitting this weekend. It's a nice change for me as I don't get out often. Feels like a mini vacation with no one else around but 4 inside cats, and 5+ outdoor cats to feed and water daily. I didn't even get up until 11:00 this morning and I had a terrific headache! Not sure if it's from all the caffeine yesterday or what. So I'm drinking water today.
Have a great Saturday!

A Bloody Good Cruise
A Bloody Good Cruise Fun Facts:
My husband and I are hooked on cruising, and my very first cruise was on the Eastern Mediterranean, beginning in Rome and ending in Istanbul. The ports of call included Rhodes, Cyprus, Santorini, and Egypt. Because I love Italy and cruising, I wanted to combine those passions with a humorous story about vampires and how they face prejudice in the human world.
I met an Italian woman named Fausta in 1983 and always loved that name--I always planned to use that name in one of my books someday. I finally got the chance with the hero Fausto, close enough!
The actor I envision for the hero Fausto is Vincent Irizarry, who played Dr. David Hayward on All My Children. He is every bit the perfect vampire.
A little bit about A Bloody Good Cruise:
A BLOODY GOOD CRUISE is a fun-filled blend of the vampire world and luxury cruises.
Romance writer Mona Rossi's book sales are slipping. She needs new ideas and fast! Her vampire love, Fausto Silvius is a doctor aboard the Romanza, a luxury cruise ship. Holding a "Motion on the Ocean" writer's cruise sounds like a great idea. What better way to combine a career boost with romance? But they soon discover hunters on board who give chase to Fausto and his fellow vampires. While he longs to bring Mona into his world, how can he convince her to join him with fringe lunatics on the hunt? In the prime of her life she's not sticking her neck out for a shot at eternity.
Excerpt:
Fausto took command of a standing mike. When she heard him address the crowd with a simple Good evening, she stumbled back in shock, almost landing ass first in the punchbowl.
It was Fausto, in the most stunning outfit hed ever worn. A black velvet cape swirled like liquid onyx. A gold medallion rested on his chest. His black hair was slicked back, revealing a widows peak. His look bordered on sinister. His dark eyes penetrated the room with a devilish twinkle. A smile revealed two gleaming white fangs. He projected a picture of menacing confidence.
But to the crowd who saw a familiar figure they all feared, he was simply Dracula. Its Dracula!
Bio:
I'm a self-confessed history nut, my favorite eras being Medieval and Renaissance England, and all American history. I've written several novels set in England and the U.S., two time travel romances, a vampire romance, and a fantasy romance, FAKIN’ IT which received a Top Pick award from Romantic Times. I'm a longtime member of Romance Writers of America and the Richard III Society. In my spare time, I bicycle, golf, play my piano and devour books of any genre.

I love them so much!
My daughter and son-in-law finally took the kids in to have updated pictures done. Alivia will be 8 in August and Mason will be 4 in December. These two kids are my heart, and I'm so lucky to be able to live with them and share their lives. Mason is the first boy in our family.

DEA agent Eve Taylor has had her fill of alpha males. When Resolutions’ operative and former lover, Dillon “Mac” McKenna, threatened her hard-earned independence, she ran. When he forced her to choose him or her job, she walked away. Two years later, it seems all his nightmares have come true and he’s tasked with rescuing her from a Colombian prison. Mac has never stopped loving Eve, but does he dare risk his heart when he’s so terrified of losing…
On the run, Mac and Eve must learn to trust each other again in order to stay alive.
Excerpt
“Dammit, Eve, I didn’t mean I needed to take care of you, I just meant—”
“I know exactly what you meant.” She added a sheathed K-bar knife to her belt, grabbed one of the assault rifles Cade had brought along, and tossed the strap over her good shoulder. “Let’s finish this. The quicker this mission is completed, the sooner our partnership is finished. It’s too hard to be around you.”
“Wait, Eve. Listen, I’m sorry if I offended you. I know you can keep up.”
“You want to smother me. I can’t handle the alpha shit anymore. I can’t change what happened to your mother, and I damned well can’t live my life trying to make up for her death. Let’s be honest, we just aren’t meant to be together.”
Mac grabbed her good arm. “Eve, don’t write me off yet. We can work through this. We’ll talk later.”
“Not gonna happen.” She pulled away.
Eve hopped from the AH-6J and stood with both feet apart in front of Cade and Corelli. “You two don’t have to worry about me not pulling my weight. I’m good to go.”
She spun around and stomped off toward Mendoza’s compound.
“Shit, Mac, I think you’ve gone and pissed your lady off big-time. Gonna make this job all kinds of fun.” Cade smiled sheepishly.
AUTHOR INFORMATION:
Teri Riggs was destined to be a writer. As a small girl she didn’t read bedtime stories, she made up her own. Who needed Little Red Riding Hood or The Three Little Pigs when there were so many great tales bouncing around in her head? When she grew up and became a mother to three little girls, she continued the tradition of making up bedtime stories. On the occasions she chose to tell conventional fairytales, Teri usually gave them a bit of tweaking here and there or added a new ending. Her girls loved it.
After her daughters had the nerve to actually grow up and leave home, Teri discovered she had a passion for writing and jumped right in. It came as no surprise she chose to write mysteries and happily-ever-after’s since that’s the genres she loves to read.
Teri lives in Marietta, Georgia with her husband, one of her daughters and two dogs that seem to think they rule the world. And some days Teri thinks maybe they do.
Teri still frequently tells herself stories as she falls asleep. The only difference now is she wakes up the next morning and turns her bedtime stories into books.

Stop by each blog to check out their favorites! There will be a giveaway at each stop plus a grand prize giveaway of an Amazon Gift Card! Happy Hopping!
Book covers are probably the most important element of a book, unless you already know and like the author. Let's face it, it's the very first thing you see. It's what draws you to that particular book. The cover speaks to you, and hopefully, tells you what the story is about. There are some dynamite book covers out there, and I've been fairly lucky. Publishers have great artists working for them and when I self-publish a book, I work with Ramona Lockwood on the cover. She does beautiful work!
If I had to pick a favorite out of my twenty something covers I'd probably go with...crap! I can't just go with one. I have several. They are below, and the giveaways I'm also offering up. At the end of this hop I will randomly pick 2 winners and they will be allowed to pick which story (1) they want. So leave a comment with your email addy, and which book cover you like the best of the three.
