Other Kin Series - Manuscript 2 ...

Aahhhh, Done, Completed, Finished, SENT!
Yes, the 2nd manuscript to the Other Kin Series has been submitted to my publisher, Whiskey Creek Press Torrid.

So, the 3rd manuscript has been started with the 4th plotting in my head LOL. Although the 4th has been plotting since the 2nd and I've had to push the little baby to the back of my brain to work on the others. It just keeps wanting to jump up ahead of everyone else. Stinky little bugger!

Oh, Okay -- a short, short tease on the 2nd...

Take one half blooded fire dragon with the attitude, and passion to match the hotness of fire coursing through her veins, and one hard-headed Vampire Alpha, who's used to getting his way in all things especially the bedroom, toss them together in fighting, passion, and love...

Ooops, sorry that's it, are you salivating yet??? LOL  :-)    Damn I am, better get back to writing, HA!

Have a great Sunday all and read lots!!

Coffee Quotes ... :-)

The morning cup of coffee has an exhilaration about it which the cheering influence of the afternoon or evening cup of tea cannot be expected to reproduce.  ~Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr., "Over the Teacups," 1891

No coffee can be good in the mouth that does not first send a sweet offering of odor to the nostrils.  ~Henry Ward Beecher

A morning without coffee is like sleep.  ~Author Unknown

Mothers are those wonderful people who can get up in the morning before the smell of coffee. ~Author Unknown

2013...New Job...Moving...

YES!!! 2013 is here and no we did not meet the end of the world in December!! HA!! LOL.

Sorry I haven't blogged on my regular day(s), I've seriously had a lot of things happening and it doesn't look as if it's going to slow down anytime to soon LOL.

1) Ended my current day position
2) Christmas
3) Started new day position
4) Submitted newest manuscript for The Other Kin Series * started on the 3rd ;-)
5) Moved ...

Moving is not the easiest thing, no matter if you're going next door or across the country, and when you're dead dog sick, feverish, achy, and coughing because lovely family members bringing the flu down from NY, well, it makes the experience one of it's own, let me tell you! :-)

So yes, my family has moved (Still in FL) and I'm feeling a bit discombobulated as I sit here typing, as I have not set up my writing office (Yes!! I finally have a writing area) as my own yet. One I anticipate we'll be here a year at most as we're leasing a house and then look into buying in the area if we like it. So I don't want to set it up and paint and do all those good things I want to do until I'm for sure the area is mine and mine forever!! LOL.

The dog and cat are happy as two peas in a pod, LOL. There's so much room for them to run inside never mind the half acre outside. Elvis (my dachshund) is in his glory as he's stepped up from chasing lizards to being able to run after stork white looking birds, I think they're egrets? not sure, and squirrels. So he's crashing right now beside me from his morning run LOL.

The man child (my teenager) is thrilled to have a huge room with a walk in closet, and be in an area where Game Stop is closer than an hour away. :-)

My honey is happy to have a "man" cave :-) So we've all gotten what we wanted and more. Nothing like ringing in the New Year with a Great Big Positive on all accounts!!

So finally feeling a bit better and there's still a ton of boxes to unpack, and a house to situate. I do believe after the riding lawn mower is delivered today we'll be heading out to some stores to check into more comfortable chairs and a bigger desk for me :-) YAY!! (Sending lovey kisses my honey's way)

6) New Years
7) Tying the knot in March...

So Yeah, huh, nothing like doing every thing at once LOL. Here's a few pictures of my new backyard.

Happy Sunday, Stay Healthy, and Read Lots!!

Down sick ... blah

Blah is right!! I started a great new 'day' job today and what starts happening ... *Drum roll please*

I start feeling the sickness, nope not Dope's Down with the Sickness :-) sillys.

But the flu, cold aggravating body aching stuffy head sickness that I really did not need!! AND THEN, AND THEN...I get home to find out that my son is  ... boom boom boom ...sick too.

Thank you Uncle K (you know who you are - giving you the stink eye man.) who brought this wonderful little present from NY, LOL, and passing on this Christmas gift, although if I could give it back I would, and i don't think anyone would blame me!! Hahahahaha

So it's chicken noodle soup for me, some cold/flu meds and off to bed, along with my puppy so I can hug him and cuddle him and get a good night's rest. :-)

 Sleep well all!!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Yes, I said Merry Christmas. I know some will say, why didn't she just put ' happy holidays?'. Well because I celebrate Christmas and being politically correct all the time is a pain in my butt. Especially when I like to say it plainly, but use the moderator in my head to speak politely.    So which ever holiday you celebrate, I'm hoping you have a grand one!! I plan on spending time with family and eating lots of great food!   On the writing end...
The second manuscript for The Other Kin Series has been sent to my publisher - Whiskey Creek Press Torrid and I am currently working on the third manuscript for the series with the fourth plotting in the back of my head. LOL.
Again, Merry Christmas to all and read lots!! Christmas is a time when you get homesick - even when you're home.  ~Carol Nelson One of the most glorious messes in the world is the mess created in the living room on Christmas day.  Don't clean it up too quickly.  ~Andy Rooney   C~  * Pictures with permission by Microsoft Clip Art Gallery and rights to all owners

Quotes on Sex

Anybody who believes that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach flunked geography.  ~Robert Byrne, quoted in 1,911 Best Things Anybody Ever Said, 1988

A dirty book is rarely dusty.  ~Author Unknown

To hear many religious people talk, one would think God created the torso, head, legs and arms, but the devil slapped on the genitals.  ~Don Schrader

No matter how much cats fight, there always seem to be plenty of kittens.  ~Abraham Lincoln

There is nothing wrong with going to bed with someone of your own sex.  People should be very free with sex, they should draw the line at goats.  ~Elton John

There's nothing better than good sex.  But bad sex?  A peanut butter and jelly sandwich is better than bad sex.  ~Billy Joel

Have a great day everyone!!!!

Quotes about Children

We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today. ~Stacia Tauscher
You can learn many things from children. How much patience you have, for instance. ~Franklin P. Jones
Children make your life important. ~Erma Bombeck
A child can ask questions that a wise man cannot answer. ~Author Unknown
Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see.  ~Neil Postman, The Disappearance of Childhood (introduction), 1982
A three year old child is a being who gets almost as much fun out of a fifty-six dollar set of swings as it does out of finding a small green worm.  ~Bill Vaughan
Children seldom misquote.  In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.  ~Author Unknown
And Finally, I do believe this is the one I like the best...
In the United States today, there is a pervasive tendency to treat children as adults, and adults as children.  The options of children are thus steadily expanded, while those of adults are progressively constricted.  The result is unruly children and childish adults.  ~Thomas Szasz

4 out of 4 Stars = AWESOME REVIEW for The Werewolf's Mate

The Werewolf's Mate has everything it takes for a fun and sexy read. It has hunky Lyken, sexy vampires, and bad-ass fairies all living together in peace until an ancient evil threatens not only their town but their very souls Now, an outcast has returned to save them all - and to claim the man she still loves.

I'm a big fan of the paranormal genre and of shifter stories in general. That being said, it was the heroine that stole the thunder in this short story. Kala was one kick-ass Fairy. She protected what was hers. That meant she was willing to go to the mat to defend her mate, her daughter and her town. I also liked the fact that instead of being a vindictive bitch, Kala came back to save the same people who had treated her so badly.

I must say that I was very impressed with the author's writing. The plot was very interesting. The storyline was consistent.
I enjoy the story more when I get to experience not only the POV of the heroine but that of the hero also.    That being said, I still liked the story enough to look forward to a next entry in the series.
