The Kew Growths and Other Stories is, as those familiar with William Meikle’s work would expect, a worthy addition to the Professor Challenger canon. - British Fantasy Society

Professor Challenger: The Kew Growths and Other Stories is another fantastic collection of short stories from William Meikle, and serves as excellent demonstration of his inherent skill as a writer, breathing fresh life into an obscure classic character and reinvigorating him for the 21st Century. - THE SCI-FI AND FANTASY REVIEWER

Once again Mr. Meikle proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is one the preeminent storytellers/authors writing today. - Literary Mayhem

The result is a collection of eleven tales that range from action-adventure to horror, each accompanied by an appropriate, often stirring illustration by M. Wayne Miller, whose black-and-white renderings make shadows come alive...Professor Challenger: The Kew Growths and Other Stories is a credit to both the originator and the modern storyteller. - Hellnotes

CRUSTACEANS

Crustaceans by William Meikle If you are a monster kid like I am you will absolutely love "Crustaceans", if you are not a monster kid reading "Crustaceans" will probably turn you into one, either way read "Crustaceans" it will probably be the most fun you ever had reading a book and I give it my highest recommendation. -- FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND

Fans of the old creature feature movies and killer animal books will find it to be a wonderful guilty pleasure. Recommended. -- THE MONSTER LIBRARIAN

At bottom, it’s a fun book, written to show the reader a good time and nothing more than that, on which level it succeeds admirably well. I thoroughly enjoyed its pulp(ish) pleasures. -- Peter Tennant, BLACK STATIC #31

THE PLASM

The Plasm by William Meikle The Plasm is a fantastic piece of science-fiction horror writing that is reminiscent of one of my favourite films – Event Horizon – that I greatly enjoyed, and would encourage anyone with an interest in horror or science-fiction to pick up as soon as possible. - THE SCI-FI AND FANTASY REVIEWER

Fans of horror, particularly stuff with a Lovecraftian flavor will enjoy this one. - Horror Web

The overall story was engaging, the characters were painted well, and the ending was a thing of beauty. This is an example of a highly professional storyteller and talented wordsmith, doing what he does. Which happens to be telling an extremely engaging story, and absolutely nailing it! - Weird and Wonderful Reads

THE HOLE

The Hole by William Meikle There is no doubt in my mind that Mr. Meikle is one of the premier storytellers of our time. The Hole is one hell of a story, a fun ride and a blast to read. If you are looking for some good summer entertainment, don't turn on the idiot box, pick up a copy of "The Hole", find yourself a nice tree to sit under and get lost in the magic of a great story. The Hole will certainly be time well spent and I highly recommend it.- Famous Monsters of Filmland

At the centre of this fabulous story is a pounding pulp rhythm, onto which Meikle has layered a philharmonic gemstone of plots, characters, and thrills to create a triumphant symphonic masterpiece of modern genre writing. - Ginger Nuts of Horror

Another tour de force of pulp fiction from the imagination of the best purveyor of out and out genre fiction currently plying their trade. - Dark Musings

THE HOUSE ON THE MOOR

The House On The Moor by William Meikle Scotland, a misty moor, an old crumbling manor house, an owner with a scandalous secret, and something skittering in the rafters of the library - you'll find them all here, along with more than a hint of a Hammer horror or two

Whatever your reason, happy reading. - CEMETERY DANCE

A collection of stories that was thoroughly entertaining, presenting a series of clever and canny exercises in style and subject matter by an inventive and accomplished writer. - PETE TENNANT, BLACK STATIC #62

A bravura performance. - Pete Tennant, Black Static #38

The book has a strong and interesting story. The dread is mostly in the unseen, with little violence or gore. It’s all very subtle, and following a satisfying conclusion, very rewarding. - SCREAM Magazine

...would have made a great ‘Twilight Zone’ episode. - British Fantasy Society
