Printed books or E-books?
I was born into a family of traditional post-gutenberg printers, in a small but ancient town of south Italy, not far from Pompeii. Citizens of this ancient place before being buried by the Volcano used to write their thoughts on the city's walls: any sort of messages, political, marketing, love scripts can still be seen on those walls. They also used to write in marble and on papyruses. But that was over 2000 years ago. Nowadays things work in a different manner. I've undergone and am still undergoing a great change, a perfect evolution of my species. I read and write both on paper and screen, but I believe I think in a very different manner. I think "digital", this means that I'm always connected not just to the piece of reading I have in my hands in a papery version, but also in a digital connection. This means that I can get out of the text any time, I can clic on an outside link, watch a video clip, listen to an audio reference, can also upload or download, copy and glue, operate changes, open alive contacts ... This makes quite a difference, doesn't it?
