NEW RELEASE

I shared my story, now I share my survival…

We all hear the shocking stories of child abuse, predators and the horrifying sex trade among children.  The family secrets where no one is allowed to talk of such abuse by another family member.  Believing the child will forget being horrifically raped and abused as the years go on.  Adults covering up reasons that a child is being abused, simply because it is easier to find an excuse than it is to believe that a child is in fact, being abused.

I know this to be true, because I am one of those abused children who grew up and I have some things I want you to understand…

Understanding Childhood Trauma

FINALLY ✍ Next Week 📚 On October 5th, Understanding Childhood Trauma will be available to purchase.

I Shattered My Silence, now I Share My Survival ♡

When the pity is easier to look at than what the communication will tell, we as children are told to move on and forget, as adults we are told to forgive.  Yet, we live our whole lives trying to forget something we will always remember and search for forgiveness in what is so unforgivable.

I know because I am one of those children who grew up and I have some things I want you to understand.

#throwbackthursdays – I wrote this book a throwback ago.  Never give up on yourself, one day you may very well accomplish things you never imagined possible ♡

A Strangers Hero

Where were you when the world stood still?

A Strangers Hero

An act of terrorism
A foreign man’s will.
What he did, the day
The world stood still.

No act of evil
Could ever compare.
As we heard the news
Terrorism was here.

The planes had crashed
So many lives lost.
Their souls not forgotten
No matter the cost.

Strangers came together
And friendships were bound.
Assuring families
Loved ones would be found.

As days went by
It just got worse.
But hearts of strangers
Was our only source.

Believing in faith
And through God’s will.
We all came together
The day the world stood still.

Written by a Grown-up Abused Child

I was a trophy in a monstrous predators sick world and it was all done…. Under A Mother’s Watch.

The horrifying truth behind child rape, torture, family secrets and the monstrous predator my birth mother harbored.

What’s buried in the cellar wall of my childhood home and why can’t detectives get fully inside the tunnel-like hole?  A lifetime span of unsolved murders and a horrifying reality.  I was not my abusers first victim, nor was I his last, but I may very well be his only surviving one.

I Tell My Story

Even in the year 2023, evil walks among us in the most scariest of ways. What you may consider as a neighbor, friend, coworker or even worse, your very own daycare provider may actually be a mask worn so well. Unfortunately by the time their mask falls off, a child has already paid the horrifying price.  A price, I once paid.

I didn’t tell my story to make my ‘ birth family’ look bad, they did that on their own.

I tell my story to bring courage, strength and hope to the so many who lived/live a childhood I once did.

I tell my story to bring awareness about the monstrous predator my birth mother harbored and the multiple unsolved murders that followed his lifetime span.

I tell my story to bring an understanding to a society that has drowned abused children into a lifetime of shame, secrets and silence.

I tell my story because it is my God damn right.

If they wanted their part in my story to read better, then they should have made their part better to read!

A heartbreaking and horrifyingly told story of one girl’s determination to live.

A monstrous predator, a cruel family and a society built on secrets… How did I ever survive?

A true story of horror, courage and strength ♡

Once Upon A Staircase

From hand written journals to a two-part memoir, I finally got there one step at a time.  From my Feb 2024 poetry book Only Beautiful Remains, here are the steps I took ♡

Once Upon A Staircase

Once upon a staircase
A giant step I made
Looking up to struggles
Down a waterfall cascade.
Another step is taken
A giant leap I take
All the different stages
With every step I make.

Once upon a staircase
Another step I took
Growing through the pages
Of a written journal book.
Inked in footprints
Left behind by stain
If I keep going
Only a few steps remain.

Once upon a staircase
I looked up the last time
A cascade of courage
In taking the last climb.
I took the final steps
A fear I had to face
I finally got there
Once upon a staircase.

A Soldiers Prayer

And when he gets to Heaven… Saint Peter he will tell,
“Just another Solider reporting Sir… I’ve served my time in Hell.”

We don’t know them, but we owe them ♡

♡Birth Mother♡

How can a mother
Not even bother
A child is being abused?
Her cruel words
Came in chords
Always left me confused.

Life would derail
If he went to jail
So his secret she kept.
All the abuse
Was an excuse
Her reasoning to accept.

Her nasty ways
Shamed my days
Her hands stayed out of reach.
Ignored my cries
She told her lies
No lessons did she teach.

With every attack
Protection did lack
It was like she didn’t care.
Lasting results
Broken adults
A childhood left in despair.

Losing the count
Of the amount
Children she did not raise.
Being none other
Than a birth mother
Are words I’ll always praise.

Survivors Mind

The darkest depths of a survivors mind
Seeps the horror of an inhumane kind.

The evil, the terror and a traumatizing fear
Made into reminders everyday of every year.

It doesn’t go away, nor do we forget
Wishing we fought more is our only regret.

We blame ourselves, knowing it’s not true
A bit of reasoning we use to get through.

Ridicule, mimics and belittling ways
Shame, secrets and silenced days.

Years go by, the pain is still there
I was told one day it would all disappear.

It’s not true, so give me the time
Sad for the child, when it was a crime.

This is my life and no matter the age
A pain was inflicted, not a healing stage.

Recovery steps we walk behind
In the darkest depths of a Survivors mind.
