Book 2 Cover Reveal

The Ashen Hand of Kessrin has a cover!

Another amazing cover from the good folks over at Damonza

I wanted to keep the same style of evocative artwork, with a single protagonist looking out over a city under siege.

Jelaïa has arguably grown the most since the first novel and the artist has really captured her new-found confidence as she prepares to enter the fray.

And, of course, the burning blue hand....

Enjoy!

They Have Returned

The siege of Arelium has been broken, but only at a great and terrible cost. The Baron has fallen, the unsuspecting victim of an intricate web of lies devised to drive a wedge between Arelium and the coastal Barony of Kessrin.

Merad Reed, scarred and disillusioned, is haunted by the tragic deaths of the men under his command. When all contact is lost with the Old Guard of Morlak, he reluctantly travels north to investigate, only to find the truth is far worse than anything he could have imagined.

After narrowly escaping an attempt on her own life, Jelaïa del Arelium is struggling to understand her emerging abilities, and the crippling addiction that comes with them. The priestesses of Brachyura may hold the answers she seeks, but after years of protecting the secrets of the Twelve can they still be trusted?

Lord Praxis, now acting as Regent, must face the unforeseen consequences of his own machinations when a simple dagger leads him from the shining towers of Kessrin to the tempestuous Sea of Sorrow, and a terrifying new threat.

Meanwhile, somewhere on a dusty road far from civilisation, an ancient demi-god is slowly coming to meet them. He has awoken from decades of slumber to fulfil his one last purpose …

Lay waste to the lands of men.

Book Trailer Out Now!

Now that the book has been out for a couple of months and people are seeming to enjoy it I thought the time was right to put together a little book trailer, which you can find...

Here : Book Trailer (Youtube)

And Here : Book Trailer (Website)

Hopefully the trailer will entice a few more readers to picking up the first book, and add a bit of visualisation to some of the more intense scenes. There are even a couple of well-hidden easter eggs hidden away for the more dedicated people to find.

I'll post a trailer breakdown some time in the coming weeks with all the juicy details.

Some nice reviews

Two nice reviews from book bloggers Michelle from Chelle's Book Ramblings and Chloe Gilholy from Vocal

Chloe writes :

"I really liked it and thought it was great, especially liked Jelaia and thought Reed was a great character. I think the best thing about this book is the little details that help build the atmosphere"

Another nice review is from Michelle from Chelle's Book Ramblings :

Thank you!

A huge thanks to everyone who downloaded The Broken Heart of Arelium over the Easter weekend

The book was downloaded just under 1000 times over the three-day period which is amazing for a first novel. I even briefly topped two amazon categories (Military Fantasy and Dragons & Mythical Creatures Fantasy) and got to #4 in Historical Fantasy which was great to see!

sales

Thanks again and don't forget to leave a review on goodreads or amazon, tell me what you think!
