Please Welcome Guest Author Jocie McKade

Hi CH! Thank you for inviting me to your blog. 
Like CH, I LOVE westerns and I have a series of westerns set in the great state of Wyoming - The Three Baers - one of them will be just right!   They are contemporary romantic comedies and follow the three Baer brothers as they find love with the most unlikely ladies. 
My newest series however, is a fun, humorous mystery series. I used to watch old black and white movies with my mom on the weekends and she loved Spencer Tracey and Katherine Hepburn.   If you haven't taken the time to watch these oldies - do! They are fun, the writing is awesome and the acting, well, what can I say about those two? If you love those movies, or Moonlighting, or Castle, then High Frequency is for you.


I have dubbed this new series my "humorous-romantic-mystery" (I don't think that's a genre, yet, but...). The story actually formed at a county fair of all places. I was waiting by the goat barn for my daughter and a young woman reporter was there from the local newspaper. She suddenly got into a very humorous verbal spat with a local television news journalist. He was a handsome guy with all kinds of camera charisma, and was working hard to charm this woman.

After their argument was over she looked at me and said: "Did you ever hate someone so much that you were madly in love with them?" What a profound statement. I found out later they were actually married. That is when High Frequency and the Read Between the Lines series began. 



My heroine Lauren Jacobs is an award winning reporter for the prestigious news journal, Edition One. My hero is Derek Rourke, a reporter for the sensationalist tabloid, The Lens. They met over a crop circle in England and well..........it's pretty much chaos from there.


But don't expect these two to fall in love each other easily, oh no, they've got some serious control issues and ugly backgrounds to work through. Of course, they are going to have to survive being chased by terrorists, mobsters, the CIA, Scotland Yard. 




This series allows me to let my inner geek run free! Nikola Tesla a real genius from the turn of the century and his inventions figure prominently. Combining science, mystery, humor and romance has been so much fun, I can't wait to see where Rourke and Jacobs end up next. At the end of the book readers will have a good idea, but with these two, you never know.

FOR LOVE OF FLYNN by C.H. Admirand

Sometimes things happen at warp speed around here...and other times...think molasses in January. LOL!
BUT, Flynn finally decided to start talking to me again so I could edit his short story--Book 5 in my Irish Western Series.
The lovely Sahara Kelly and P and N Graphics, LLC created yet another FAB cover for this series. I hope you enjoy Michael and Megan's story. Although it's short, it's packed full of action and adventure, and the all important HEA!
This morning, FLOF is #34 at Amazon in Short Stories :) Thanks to Romance Readers:) 
FOR LOVE OF FLYNN and the rest of the series is now available on Nook at B&N as well as Amazon. Still waiting for Kobo to catch up, the books are still listed as "publishing"--it's been a few days. *sigh*
Although I wanted to make this story a free read, I wasn't able to do that at B&N or Amazon, I was at Kobo...but see the prob above...when it's finally available at Kobo, it will be free. :)

The Irish Westerns Boxed Set by C.H. Admirand

I cannot believe it happened so fast, once I got the formatting to cooperate. LOL! I seem to do everything the hard way, and formatting is work to those of us who'd rather  be writing. :)
But that being said, the feeling of accomplishment outweighed the angst...that and the fact that you can learn something new every day, if you open your mind to the possibilities.
Once again, a HUGE thank you to the FABULOUS P and N Graphics, LLC for creating the logo and covers for the first four books in this series, and just the other day, the boxed set cover. Sahara and Scott are amazing to work with and I highly recommend them.
I really do believe that their beautiful covers have attracted new readers to this series, readers that have kept this series in the top 20 at Amazon for the last five months. 
I am humbled and beyond grateful that romance readers really do love Westerns, Cowboys, and a dash of Irish Charm added into the mix.
Speaking of Irish Charm, watch for Michael Flynn's story, although it is short at this time, he may start whispering in my ear to turn it into a longer book.

THE MARSHAL'S DESTINY Unavailable Until Tomorrow by C.H. Admirand

Good Morning! For Romance Readers who have thought about trying THE MARSHAL'S DESTINY, Book 1 in my Irish Western Series, you will have your chance tomorrow...not today.
This morning, I received a note from KDP that someone reported 3 typos in my book. I'm grateful for that because two of my proofreaders and I missed them. So a huge thank you to whoever found them and reported them!
Maggie and Joshua are trying to be patient while waiting for KDP to do what they need to do to get their story back and live on-line, but they really want new Romance Readers to find them so they can share their story.  :)
