Announcing good news and waving books in the air, Silly Daddy declares to his daughter, "I've been invited to do a reading at the library!"
His daughter replies, "Big deal. Everyone reads at the library."

I Love the Retail Princess of Silly Daddy
Ink pens and markers on 8.5" x 11" paper by Joe Chiappetta 2011
After receiving some low cost coloring books as a gift, my daughter said, "Thanks for the Princess Coloring Books. But I've never heard of any of those princesses.
My wife aptly replied, "That's because they're Dollar Store princesses!"

Low Fat Food Label Funnies
"Why does the label say 'Low Fat' when all the animals in the picture look so fat?" My son asked this question while holding a giant jar of animal crackers and pointing to some animal characters on the label that were a bit on the hefty side. My answer was not exactly as profound as his question; "I don't know." Comic is drawn with ink pens on 4.5" x 3.5" paper by Joe Chiappetta 2011.

How to Do More with Less
At an office on a lunch break, a frustrated worker says, "My boss wants me to do more with less!"
A compassionate coworker replies, "Does that mean I can finish your French fries?"
Welcome to the new normal, where employers expect you to multi-task on multiple projects with multiple people to multiply profits. This comic, of course, is the hungry man's version of how to do more with less in the

The Joy of Nonprofit Organization
During a conversation in an office building waiting for the elevator, one woman asks, "So, you both work for a non-profit organization?"
A scruffy professional replies, "Actually, it's more of a non-profit disorganization."
I almost called this comic "The Unbearable Lightness of Being in a Nonprofit Organization," but that seemed a bit too intellectual, and some people might not understand such

Flower Girl Funnies
My five-year-old daughter, Anna, and her toddler friend, Olivia, recently had the opportunity to be flower girls in a wedding. However, when it came down to the tender task of actually spreading flower petals down the aisle, the toddler trailed a few rows behind my busy daughter and said, "Anna, you dropped something."

Not Ready for a Wedding Dress
"Take a picture of me too in my wedding dress!" said my five-year-old daughter at the marriage reception. While she was a flower girl at our friend's wedding, I didn't have the heart to explain to my daughter that she wasn't wearing an actual wedding dress. Indeed, I didn't think such a statement would come from my daughter for at least another few decades. Webcomic is a digital drawing

Is that your Love Dance?
While a husband was on a Chicago rooftop doing some sort of activity with his arms stretched out, his wife asked him, "Is the wide span of your arms a way of showing me how much you love me?" The husband replied, "Uh, yes but just now I was actually practicing my hip-hop dance moves."
While this event never actually happend, and I really don't understand the first thing about hip-hop,

Captain Disability to the Rescue?
With complete seriousness, I told my wife, "My next book will be a true story about how I got cured of chronic back pain. I might title it 'Captain Disability and His Super Impaired Friends.'" Making the most distorted face she could manage, my wife cried, "Oh, that's terrible! It's stupid and offensive." Without missing a beat, I replied, "How about 'Captain Disability and His Lovely Wife

The Secret War: An illustrated parable of the world and the kingdom
Once upon a time, in a world gone mad, there was a secret war. Only a few people fought in this conflict. The rest stayed home, got into terrible debt and watched a lot of TV.
After many battles had ebbed and flowed
