The Secret War: An illustrated parable of the the world and the kingdom
Once upon a time, in a world gone mad, there was a secret war. Only a few people fought in this conflict. The rest stayed home, got into terrible debt and watched a lot of TV.

I Just Got Interviewed

An excited science fiction author shares some good news with his family. "Hey Grandma Lowteccarillo, you know how I have a new book out? Well, something cool has happened; I just got INTERVIEWED on someone's blog!" Not the most computer literate person, Grandma Lowteccarillo asks, "So did you get the job?" This comic commemorates the fact that I actually did get interviewed by Alice Roelke

If Machines Could Write For You

A pair of sci-fi geeks have a curious discussion about artificial intelligence. One says, "What if I invented a machine that copied your intellect so well, that it could write books as if they came from your own mind? Would you still write your own books?"

Ink pens and markers on two pieces of 3.5" x 4.5" paper by Joe Chiappetta 2011
While playing in the snow and completely bundled up in warm winter gear, my daughter said to me, "My mouth is covered, so you can't hear me."
Impressed with the simple logic of her statement, I replied, "Thanks for clearing that up for me."

Profound Question on the Search for Open People

Ink pen on 4.5" x 3.5" paper by Joe Chiappetta 2011
After I had finished praying, my daughter had a most profound question. This was immediately following my prayer of "God please help us to find more people who are open to the gospel, amen."
My five-year-old daughter asked, "Why doesn't God just MAKE all the people come to church?"

Silly Daddy Repossessed

Ink pens and markers on 4.5" x 3.5" paper by Joe Chiappetta 2011
One man riding the Chicago public transportation system says to a woman, "I ride the bus every day this year because my car got repossessed."
"At least it wasn't demon-possessed," said the woman in consolation.
"That was last year," replied the man.
This is one of the many comics in my eBook Debt-Busters. It's a short eBook,
