3 Poems and Photos in “Haiku for Hikers”

If you’re a fan of haiku, poetry, or nature photography, I would highly recommend checking out Tipton Poetry Journal’s latest e-zine “Haiku for Hikers”. I have three haiku and three nature photos featured in this issue (pages 27, 28, 29). You can read below:

The journal is also raising funds for their non-profit Brick Street Poetry which focuses on bringing high quality poetry, readings, and events to their community. Funds are being matched by the Community Foundation of Boone County for the month of September. Donations to the organization can be made via PayPal and if you list the page number of your favorite haiku, the poet can receive print copies or a small stipend. The link to their donation page is below:

Archived Poems Live in InVerse

Earlier this summer I mentioned that I received word of three of my poems being accepted into InVerse (Indiana’s poetry archives) which are now live! You can now find me and my poetry at the link below!

I’m very humbled to be listed with such talent and historical Hoosier poets. You can read more Hoosier poetry within the archive, as well, so give it a look!

“Kitty Genovese Effect”- Poem

The Gonzo Press’s added visuals to my poem “Kitty Genovese Effect”. I absolutely love the look and it adds so much to the piece itself. The poem is written in memory of a child, Yue Yue, killed in China. It made worldwide news at the time due to passerbys not reacting nor helping the child.
