Story Time With Tumford!

[image error]Tumford wants to come to story time at your local bookstore!

Here is how we are going to kick things off to start with. Because we want to start with your favorite book stores we want you to help us find out where we should kick things off!

To submit your book store for consideration simply post their Facebook page url in the comments section. We will contact them to ask if they would like to participate in Story Time With Tumford. If they are interested in participating we will put it to a vote!

There will be 3 to 5 book shops in the running each month posted in the order we receive their information. The book shop with the most votes will get the following for their Story Time with Tumford:

One signed copy of Tumford’s Rude Noises to give away after story time, they can pull a name out of a hat if they like!
They will also receive goody bags for all the little ones who come to Story Time with Tumford.

No one at story time with Tumford goes home empty handed, everyone is a winner!

Happy Holidays to The United States Service Men & Women

[image error]I hold a special place in my heart for those who serve our country, especially during the holidays. They are the true definition of ladies and gentlemen… they put our safety and comfort ahead of their own. Our troops amaze and inspire me, and I hope they know how much they are admired and loved.

As we go about our Christmas shopping and baking and spending time with our loved ones, let’s remember to raise a glass to the men and women who keep serving quietly and steadily. And if you know someone who has served, or whose child or relative is serving, remember to tell them how grateful you are for their sacrifice.

Happy Holidays to our troops. Thank you for your valiant hearts. We are so grateful to you. May you soon come safely home.

Thank You Feiwel & Friends

[image error]I would like to thank my wonderful publisher, Jean Feiwel at Feiwel and Friends for donating copies of my book Wherever You Are My Love Will Find You to the families of Newtown who suffered such unspeakable tragedy last week. My hope is that the book’s message of never-ending love will offer their hearts some measure of comfort. May God be with them all.

Heaven’s Newest Little Angels

In unspeakable tragedy, sometimes there are no words. For heaven’s newest little angels I can only offer words I’ve spoken before… words that express the unending love parents feel for their children….words true enough to find their way to heaven… and back.

A Kid at Christmas

I’ll always be a child at Christmastime! To bring out the child in yourself (and to absolutely delight the children in your life) do what I always did when my children were little. Have the reindeer run through your house!

Here’s how to do it.

Print and cut out this stencil of a reindeer footprint. Now, sprinkle baking soda through it onto your carpets or floors, creating a pattern of a reindeer running through your house. It looks just like snow… but it will vacuum right up!

My daughter, Tess, was absolutely beside herself every Christmas morning to see this. I used to put my hands on my hips and say,”Oh, no! The reindeer got in the house again!” You should have heard the squeals of delight:)
