Being reared by a family that always had a ghost, historic, or amusing story to share. I can remember tales of haunted houses, haunted graveyards, stories of the Civil War, times of struggle, bygone days of the horse and wagon, or taunting a friend or family member. My Great Aunt, always ready to share a good story as she seemed to enjoy a wide-eyed youngster eager to listen to her never-ending folktales of a haunted house or graveyard, my grandfather which weaved his stories of times gone by, or many other family members eager to share with me as a young lad.
Now as an older adult and those cherished family members have since passed on. I enjoyed sharing a few stories to a select few and never planned to write until encouraged by a teache

I find myself bumping into the headstones of ancient graves. The headstones mostly of wood with some carved from rock were illuminated by the light of fireflies dancing through the night, I stumble into a hole, a grave and written on the headstone of that grave was my own name. Practice Makes Perfect by Sarah Adams
“I am the quiet one in my family. The one with her nose always in a book because she prefers worlds where she doesn’t have to interact with other humans. It’s so much easier to read about relationships than to foster them. Less dangerous too.”
Sarah Adams

A movie can never be a book, can never replicate the experience. It can only be inspired by a book, and hopefully be a worthwhile piece of art in itself. It is very flattering when one artist wants to base a work of art on my work of art. But you can See Janet’s answer.

Read all the time. Read hard books, you don't get better playing tennis with someone who's at your own level. Try copying out a paragraph of something great to see what it would be like writing that yourself. Take the basic structure of the sentences See Janet’s answer.

Chris Kyle
“I am a strong Christian. Not a perfect one—not close. But I strongly believe in God, Jesus, and the Bible. When I die, God is going to hold me accountable for everything I’ve done on earth. He may hold me back until last and run everybody else through the line, because it will take so long to go over all my sins. “Mr. Kyle, let’s go into the backroom. . . .” Honestly, I don’t know what will really happen on Judgment Day. But what I lean toward is that you know all of your sins, and God knows them all, and shame comes over you at the reality that He knows. I believe the fact that I’ve accepted Jesus as my savior will be my salvation. But in that backroom or whatever it is when God confronts me with my sins, I do not believe any of the kills I had during the war will be among them. Everyone I shot was evil. I had good cause on every shot. They all deserved to die.”
Chris Kyle, American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History

Samuel Adams
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”
Samuel Adams

Samuel Adams
“It does not take a majority to prevail ... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.”
Samuel Adams

Louis L'Amour
“She sat across the table looking big-eyed at me and making me uneasy. When a talking woman sits quiet a man had better look at his hole card and keep his horse saddled." - Logan Sackett”
Louis L'Amour, Ride the Dark Trail

Richard Rhodes
“If you want to write, you can. Fear stops most people from writing, not lack of talent, whatever that is. Who am I? What right have I to speak? Who will listen to me if I do? You’re a human being, with a unique story to tell, and you have every right. If you speak with passion, many of us will listen. We need stories to live, all of us. We live by story. Yours enlarges the circle.”
Richard Rhodes
