Alissa J. Zavalianos grew up in New Hampshire and currently lives there with her wonderful husband, sweet daughter, and mischievous cat, Moo. As a child, she always had a love for nature, books, and fairy tales, and as she grew older, that love bloomed all the more. Alissa loves Jesus and is inspired by birds, mountains, castles, Tolkien, Lewis, and the way a cold breath of wind feels on her bare toes.

I want to travel the same paths Bilbo and Frodo travelled, and with the ring of power destroyed, my hope is that the lands would be peaceable enough to pass without any issues. For Narnia, I want to visit the time when the land was just born, listening to Aslan sing the world into existence. I can imagine stumbling into The Wood Between the Worlds would be fascinating as well.
And lastly, I've always held a fondness for Neverland. If I could be part of the Lost Boy tribe for a day, I think I'd be the happiest girl whose childhood dreams were fulfilled.(less)

The Earth-Treader

Wow, it’s been a while. I haven’t written a blog in a few months. I have some exciting news, though! For many of you, this won’t be anything new, but for some of you, perhaps you haven’t yet heard: I published my first book!!

The Earth-Treader is now available on Amazon and will be available at major retailers soon! The company I’m publishing with has finally gotten back to me and has cleared up a

This was a fun regency romp! At the same time, I’m not quite sure what to rate it. I enjoyed it, but the ending nearly had me chucking the book across the room. Which I guess is a “kudos to the author moment” for inciting such fury inside me hahah. N ...more

“This unique reimagining of The Little Mermaid explores themes of love and forgiveness and owning up to the choices—both good and bad—that we make. Gentle, lyrical, fierce.”

“What might this mean?' Moo questioned.

'That all that's beautiful and green will turn to ash. That the sun will no longer shine upon a fruitful land, instead it will shine where there's but naught a sprout to grow. Humankind may cease to exist as it does presently, and all that remains will be a corruption darker than our lands have ever known. The Darkness will rise, perhaps in more ways than one.”
Alissa J. Zavalianos, The Earth-Treader

“She fought against the expectation that growing up meant she needed to surrender her imagination.”
Alissa J. Zavalianos, The Wishing Seed

“In fact, it only seemed to enhance it, making him wonder what Holland would look like in one of his own shirts. Blast. Now was not the time for this.”
Alissa J. Zavalianos, Endlewood
