Broke down 12 miles from Legoland...
Hello everyone,
Not much to add for this month's blog post. Book 4 is around 26K words, it's the Easter Holidays here so I've been pretty hectic with the family and not felt I had enough energy to get a decent amount of words down.
To make matters worse my car broke down on our way to Legoland, Windsor which sucked. It's going to cost over £1000 to fix, which is never a good thing. But billowing white smoke coming out of the exhaust pretty much means don’t drive. The earliest it can be fixed is Star Wars day. (May the 4th) so I’ve had to borrow a car in the meantime. Urgh.
Anyway…
I hope everyone enjoys Easter if they're celebrating it, not sure what difference there is over the pond.

Book 4 of the Rune War.
Finishing book three took a lot out of me as it turned into a whopper coming in at 200K words. I felt a bit burnt out by it due to missing self appointed deadlines.
I have started book 4. The working title is Temple of Storms. I'm only 14k words into this. I knew where I want the story to go, how it roughly ends and what things need to happen to progress it. But I am taking my time ensuring I look after my own mental health as well.
But already, after the prologue my mind is jumping many books ahead with the endless possibilities. Many different books and story lines will be woven in by the very end of the series.
Book three introduces some (in my opinion awesome characters) I've based some of these characters off loved ones, past and present. Particularly Stefus Grimthain and Ammonius.
I'm hoping book three will be ready, edited and good to go by May 2022.
For now, I'll try and do these little blog posts with my progress for book 4.
