Who knows your kindness?
To know someone is to care for them. Because of having a close relationship with Jonathan, King David showed kindness (see 2 Samual 9:7) to Jonathan's son who was "lame in both feet" (9:3), due to a fall (see 4:4). He assured Jonathan's son that he would restore to him all of the land that belonged to his grandfather Saul and that he would always eat at his table (see 9:7).
