How many sides does a coin have? Two, right? Suffering has two sides as well: one side that is not so pleasant, difficult and very uncomfortable; and the other side that is revealing, clarifying and even joyful. It is when we experience the worst that we are then able to experience our best, "because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope" (Romans 5:3-4).
