Even in the light, darkness can surround us, especially if we allow it to. Darkness is like a plague, noted and also experienced by the Egyptians, in Exodus 10:21-29; which can affect our mental capabilities negatively. Fortunately, for the Egyptians, as well as ourselves, we have been given the opportunity to see the great light and live in it (see Isaiah 9:2).
