Battle of the Brains: The Science Behind Animal Minds by Jocelyn RishMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
Jocelyn Rish and David Creighton-Pester are back with another fun-filled fact book, this time about intelligent animals. I can't decide which animal has the coolest cranium, but I learned that there's a spider that eats other spiders! Where do I get one? He is an awesome trickster too. Read this book. It is time well spent! Thanks to RP Kids for the advance copy of this entertaining read!

Little Red and the Big Bad Editor
Little Red and the Big Bad Editor by Rebecca Kraft RectorMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
Rebecca Kraft Rector has written another delightfully funny book! I love the spin on Little Red Riding Hood. The story's charm is built on a fun plot, familiar characters, playful language, and fabulous illustrations by Shanda McCloskey. This story will be a hit in the classroom as it reviews the elements of letter writing and includes tons of similies! Highly Recommended!!
