Welp, the Wonderful World of AI just reared its helpful head to tell me about myself when I did an Author Self Search… it was remarkably on point, except for one small detail :

However, at the THIRD TIER, the Brave Summarizer AI starts to subtly insert politically correct nudges into its narrative:

Although not entirely wrong about those elements, the subtle changes in language ‘nudge’ the summary towards a more ‘woke’ summary, one that is not in keeping with the spirit of the book, which places freedom and individualism at its core. This may not entirely the fault of the AI, or the programming team, but instead is simply a byproduct of what the AI cobbles together from every SciFi element it searches.

And this, dear friends, is the reason we must speak out. We not only must write; we must chat in forums, we must text, we must post here -

AI learns from US. For Good or for Ill, we are the Teachers of an Unborn Technocratic WarLord. Wield words wisely, and may God have mercy on us all -

EAT THE CAKE

This is a Gluten Free, Dairy Free Cake, made for me by my Children and it is actually delicious.

As I gaze out upon the vastness of the Innerwebs, perusing worlds afire and smurf degeneracy, I am reminded once again that there is an off switch…

just joking, I would never do that.

But alas, I know all too well that even if I bring myself to turn off the internets, my brain will remain on, asking relentless questions and raising a ruckus through unsavory answers, typically generated when lying in bed at 3AM while listening to Mike and Mechanics singing ‘Silent Running’.

There is no easy answer for Situational Awareness and the anxiety that accompanies it; antsy energy demands that we respond with action, like checking water filters and saving seeds - but it is still not enough. Eventually, the wick that is constantly aflame with the fire of vigilance will burn out if left to burn…

hence, the need for Cake.

It does not have to be Big Cake. Not that there is anything wrong with Big Cake; fluffy mounds of gooey delight are appropriate for everyday, as long as one is mindful of Diabetes. But that requires someone to make said Cake, or the means to acquire it, and in these all-too-expensive times, the cheaper the better. We can make our own Little Cake with just four ingredients:

Flour

Sugar

Fat

Water

Don’t have wheat flour, or need gluten free? Substitute cooked rice or masa. Don’t have sugar or oil? Substitute a Banana. Don’t have a pan? Make it on the stovetop like a pancake, stack while layering with syrup or peanut butter and honey. Stick it in a fridge and it becomes fridge cake. WHATEVER IT TAKES, MAKE THIS CAKE.

It may not be the best Cake. It may not even being good Cake, but it is an attempt at cake, and that is enough. Look at the Cake - it is our cake, it is trying to please us. Love it. Give Cake a chance…

now, EAT THE CAKE.

Do not skip this step. We may never have another chance at Cake, so it is best to eat it now. Perhaps we will share it, or perhaps we will eat it alone. Let the Cake minister in whatever way it can, whether it is through satisfaction, or chutzpah, or the simple willingness to try and be a pastry. We have the Freedom to make our Cake, and eat it too. It has given us Joy. Life is sweet; celebrate sweetness…

remember this Cake.

Perhaps we will have Cake again. When we do, we must remember celebrating the Joy of Life, and remember our Cake…

but what if there is no more Cake?

That is why this day is so important. We tasted Cake. We know - the Cake is real. The Cake is now. It is not an illusion. We had Cake, and no one can take that moment from us. The day may come when Cake is just a fantasy, seen through the glass dimly, whispered by those who have never known such a thing. Perhaps we must tell the story to others -

or perhaps we will be in a dark place; then we must tell it to ourselves:

the Joy was real. The Freedom was real. The Cake was real, and with God as our witness, we will have Cake again.

Never forget. You had Cake today. Let the World turn, let the Heathen rage; they cannot make us forget. They cannot convince us what was real never existed. No amount of disinformation and gaslighting can replace the knowledge of what was, what is, and what will be…
