I have always loved stories and I read all the time - which is not always a good thing as I can get stuck comparing myself to other writers.

But in the last five years, I have learnt that if I don't find time to write, all the words and ideas stack up in my heart and mind, and they find a way to get out via the keyboard - even if that's a stupid o'clock when I would much rather be asleep.

When I am in the middle of a book, the story takes over my life and I squeeze writing time into as many moments as I can to keep the momentum going.(less)
