The Drift Compatible Podcast interviews… me!
It’s always a pleasure to talk with Brent – particularly when it’s about my new book FROZEN DREAMS. If you ‘do’ podcasts and read this site, I suspect that you’ll find Drift Compatible amenable. And, of course, their taste is obviously impeccable. Check ’em out.

Tweet of the Day, Manu Will Take Care Of It edition.
Ain’t gonna lie: I’m waiting on lunch to see how this plays out.
OMG my brother in law, the gift that never stops giving, was tired of being sent to get rice every day so he decided buy in bulk, talked to the shop about it, wires got crossed, now there is a literal TRUCK FILLED WITH RICE outside the house and my sister is losing her shit lmfao

Because Manu is coming to take care of it. And I don’t think he’s happy to be visiting, either.

‘M.T.A.’
I think I’m taking a small writing break.
Kind of. I still have projects to do: but aside from that a few days off won’t hurt me any. It’s been a long six months of fairly steady work.
Now watch. Inspiration will strike, or something. …Nope! Nothing. Whew!
Print edition of ANAGNORISIS now available.
It got pointed out to me that my extended family might want copies, at least. Seeing as how my mom did the pictures. So here you go!
The prints may end up being a stretch goal in the next Kickstarter, too. Or, heck, a copy of ANAGNORISIS itself. Or… no, wait, let me see if this one sells first.
The last 24 hours of the Twilight: 2000 Kickstarter.
They’ve not doing anything extra in the last 24 hours of the Kickstarter: Twilight: 2000 has hit every goal and they don’t want to mess with that, which is smart. But that means I have to ask myself: just how extravagant is that metal box, really? It’s a toughie.
The FERMI RESOLUTION RPG sourcebook has been sent to layout.
I finally bit the bullet, broke my fingers, and sent that sucker off to be laid out. It’s now out of my hands: which is good, because I had to break all my fingers* before I’d let go of it, hey? I honestly hadn’t realized how much of a chore it was going to be, either. Swear to God, the next edition of this is going to have a dedicated editor who I can pay to do the job…
But that’s all good. It’s out to layout, I’ll get it to my backers when it’s done, and that’s the last thing on the checklist except for the sonnets and the game session. And those are being worked on, too…

*I did not actually break any fingers.

The POSSESSOR trailer.
Took me a minute to figure out what was bugging me about POSSESSOR.
It’s this movie about a Shedite, right? Sorry: a demon in somebody’s head that makes them do Bad Things and then lets them take the fall. Only the Shedite isn’t quite in control, and the latest victim is fighting back (This is SF-horror, not supernatural horror, so the Shedite isn’t actually a demon). All of this is fine, with one problem… I think they want us to root for the Shedite.
Yeah, screw you, lady. You’re having a bad day? Well, maybe you shouldn’t go around and murder people for money, then. Upset that your latest victim found your family? You’re a monster, lady! Monsters don’t have families. They have elaborate cover identities. And if the victim isn’t going to kill his target he’s not gonna kill an innocent, either. The kid’s the only one I care about, up to and including the husband. Because I betcha he knows what you do for a living*.
If I thought this movie would be one long Righteous Smiting of the Wicked With Bullets and the Cleansing Fire I’d be pumped to see it. As it is, I expect that I’d have to sit through a lot of tedious exploration at how mind-raping somebody so that you can go do some contract killing can mess up your head. …No! REALLY? Who would have thought it?

*All of this is in the trailer, by the way.
‘Blue Monday.’
THE OUTER WORLDS drops some DLC next week.
I was beginning to wonder. It’s called PERIL ON GORGON, and it’s apparently going to be postgame content. Drops September 9th…
…and there’s supposedly a Season’s Pass for THE OUTER WORLDS but I haven’t found it yet. It’s all very Fallout 3-ish… which is the idea, yes?
