‘Macarena.’
I first really heard this on a transatlantic flight. For hours. And I was vaguely half-drunk and dehydrated for most of it.

PS: I actually quite like Arby’s. For when I want the stuff that’s on their menu.
Got the artwork back for DECISIONS!
I’ll probably be using this for the cover:

…but I’m not even thinking about putting the chapbook together until tomorrow. It’s been a damned long week already. Month, really. I can go watch Spider-Man movies* tonight.

*We watched the first Garfield one last night. My kids and I agree that he’s a very good Spidey, but Maguire’s the better Peter Parker. Which is conventional wisdom, but so what? It’s still true.

‘People Are Strange.’
Hey, they’re remaking NOSFERATU.
“They” being “Robert Eggers.” Come, I will conceal nothing from you: I find the original NOSFERATU a bit of a slog. I don’t want to, but it’s difficult for me to get into some of the oldest movies. Which was one reason* why I liked SHADOW OF THE VAMPIRE so much; it made the original more accessible to me. So I don’t mind the idea of a remake at all. It should be wonderfully creepy.
Mind you, it’s gonna be a few years before it comes out.

*The other reason is just so utterly jaded the Weimar filmmakers were in the film. The aforementioned vampire is not even close to the weirdest, or most disturbing, thing those people had seen. It’s a great flick.
MORGAN BAROD is now live on Kindle!
Huzzah! Hopefully, the paperback will be approved soon.
I have pulled the trigger on MORGAN BAROD.
Frankly, with the damn week we’re all having it was either that, or break out the whiskey. I realized that I could download the print proof, as well as order it, so I spent today going through the text and making the last changes. I’m going to wait for the review process to finish, and then… I have, like, a little bit of an advertising budget! Fascinating, right?
Thanks to everybody who helped. MORGAN BAROD will be available for $4.99 Kindle, $12.99 in paperback, and I dunno if I’m going to have a hardcover option for this one. Keep watching this space!

The LEGO STAR WARS: THE SKYWALKER SAGA trailer.
My kids are gonna love this.
It looks like they integrated all of the LEGO STAR WARS episode-based games, made it chronologically open, and fiddled with combat to make it a bit more complex. I will have to consult with my children over whether LEGO STAR WARS: THE SKYWALKER SAGA will make for an acceptable birthday present. I suspect that it will.
Movie of the Week: SPIDER-MAN 2.
I had forgotten how good this flick was. I did remember that Sam Raimi shot a lot of SPIDER-MAN 2 like he does his horror films, but not how much glee he took in having a real SFX budget for once. And Doc Ock’s movement still stands out as how to make multiple limbs believable. I’m kinda pumped now to see what Raimi does with the second Dr. Strange movie.
Apropos of which… please put Ash in there, somewhere. I mean, who’s gonna stop them?
