Fully known as CASTING THE RUNES: Occult Investigations in the World of M.R. James. It’s a GUMSHOE game, for doing ghost story investigations. I think a ghost story might not be a bad idea for a con game, especially if I do WashingCon next year…

I don’t hate the SUPER MARIO BROS. MOVIE trailer. I mean, the penguins are cool. I’m not going to see it, unless my kids want to, but it looks like it’s all right.
Although I did hear Chris Pratt’s lack of an accent. I guess people are mad about that? Or just mad about Chris Pratt in general?

Patreon!I don’t know how to formally fight, but I do know how to live. So I used my jacket to handle the biggest problem; the knife. I didn’t try to finesse anything, though. I just tangled his knife with the jacket and shoved him into the wall.
He almost had me there, though. Adam dropped the knife immediately, the moment I entangled it in the jacket, and when he launched himself off the wall he immediately started clawing at my upper arm. And I mean clawing; he was trying to dig his fingers into my flesh, and when I pushed him back there were bruises and couple of ugly gouges.
If Adam had known how to fight — I mean, before — he might have beaten me then. He was stronger, and a little faster, and that usually means bad things. He wasn’t fully in control of his body yet, though. He kept jerking forward, too far or too short, trying to compensate while he was still moving, and so his staggering was more like flailing about. Every time he moved, he’d growl and gibber, with gooey red spit bubbling out from his mouth from the effort. If he wasn’t there to hurt me, I would have felt sorry for him. I did feel sorry for him. The space-happy are sick, not evil.
I still knew that Adam was there to hurt me, so I tried feinting for the gun, then jumped back a little when he tried to lunge in my direction. A quick, horrible moment of closeness; and then he was past me, arms windmilling as he tried to rebalance himself from tripping over my outstretched foot.

*Another* DUST short film: LABORATORY CONDITIONS.
I know I just did one, but this is fun, too. It could be easily adapted into a full hour TV episode, too. A lot of these are their right length already, but LABORATORY CONDITIONS clearly got stripped down to its essentials. I’d like to see a longer version.
DUST film: IT CAME NAMELESS IN SPRING.
This is one of DUST’s better (and creepier!) short films, and that’s saying something. I’m not embedding the video because the thumbnail for IT CAME NAMELESS IN SPRING is a total spoiler for the ending, though. Didn’t stop me from enjoying it, but hopefully you’ll get the full effect this way.

A THE SECRET WORLD TTRPG review video.
Some more details about the Secret World TT RPG:
Come, I will conceal nothing from you: there is a heavy tactical element involved in my backing of the Kickstarter. If it does very well, there’s a decent chance that FunCom will put more resources into Secret World Legends, which is my go-to MMO. That will mean more missions, more stuff to play with, and whatnot.
So I may not have been all that interested in using a 5e ruleset, but I do have to admit that the easy subclass switching thing sounds interesting. I was wondering how they were going to duplicate the easy way my character can switch roles and tactics. Will it work? I dunno. I haven’t seen the rules yet.
