200+ queer guys writing books featuring queer romance

Queer romance author Skye Kilaen has compiled a bumper list of over 200 authors – all queer guys writing books featuring queer romance.

There are so many names on the list I recognise – including my own! – but there are plenty more which are new to me. I just know my already overloaded TBR will be getting more books piled on in the very near future!

See the big gay list for yourself on Skye’s book blog, Planet Jinxatron:

The End of Dragons by Mark Stay

What comes after the end? Well, I have been impatiently waiting for five years to find out!

The same time period has passed for the characters since they were last seen in The End of Magic. We enter The End of Dragons to find many are making the most of the new world without magic while others are desperately clinging onto whatever shards of the old world they can get their hands on.

The End of Dragons is out now

The End of Dragons is great fun, just begging to be adapted for ...

Author G B Ralph interviewed for the NZ Herald

Look, Mum – I’m in the paper! That’s certainly another author bingo square checked off for me.

Ilona Hanne interviewed me earlier in the week, and we had a fantastic chat. We discussed, among many other topics: our love of reading, libraries, cosy mysteries, The Milverton Mysteries, fictional cats, local inspiration, finding ways for people to die, writing diverse characters, and the journey from first idea though to publication and beyond.

Queer Kiwi reads for Pride Month’s final weekend

Fellow queer Kiwi author Jamie Sands has compiled five fantastic LGBTQ+ reads to see us through the final weekend of Pride Month – including my latest, Poison at Penshaw Hall!

We have necromancers, a lesbian witch, an anxious gay accused of murder, a handsome cop, whispering shadows, a blessing, a curse, beings of legend making themselves at home in Wellington, enemies to lovers, a possessive winged lord, and a very charming distraction, among many other things!

Five book cover images. Path of Dreaming Souls by Kate Haley, Poison at Penshaw Hall by G B Ralph. The Pendragon Wytch by C.C. Davie. The Wind City by Rem Wigmore. Echoes of Earthshine by Mel Harding-Shaw.

Interviewed for the newspaper

I just got off a Zoom call with Ilona Hanne (NZME journalist, editor of the Stratford Press, writing for the Manawatū Guardian) where we discussed our love of reading, libraries, cosy mysteries, and fictional cats!

We also covered how I started writing, publishing, the local setting for my Milverton Mysteries, and plenty more besides.

I’m looking forward to seeing what Ilona managed to pick out for her article from my ramblings. To be sure not to miss the article when it’s published, j...

A day with local authors and readers at the library

We had a rainy Sunday brunch with fellow authors followed by a book fair with readers at the Local Authors Day, which is part of Palmerston North City Library’s Writers and Readers winter series.

It was great to catch up with familiar faces and meet a whole bunch of new ones!
