Well, this anthology starts with fireworks. May Freighter's retelling of The Raven is enthralling. Right away, you are sucked into the fantasy setting. Raven is a young woman who has fallen into a life of thievery. She is sent on a job that she hopes will help her manage the expectations of her cruel boss, when she stumbles across a plot much larger than she could have ever anticipated. She is swept up into a world of drama by the stoic and terrifying Astair, only to learn that there is so much more to her life than she thought there ever could be.
This short story is fantastic for fans of fantasy, magic, and secret identities!

Cinder Never - Harley Parker
Cinder Never takes the age-old fairtale of Cinderella and puts it smack bang in the middle of a romantic teen drama. It is such a fun tale that follows Amber, a high school student who is treated cruelly by her step-mother, who is determined to let loose and just be a teenager. I don't want to spoil the drama, but this one is perfect for people who love teen romance, high school drama, and are looking for a bit of why-choose rep.

I'm sorry Brooklyn, but will there be more of this? From the first few lines, I was hooked, and I have to say that I NEED more.
A Taste of Blood and Lies is the Little Red Riding Hood retelling that you all need in your lives. It has great gritty urban fantasy vibes, and the characters are awesome. It's got vampires, witches, and wolves (On My!), and follows the story of Blake, a sassy vampire detective working for the Crimson Cape Society, as she is tasked to make a delivery that will see her dancing with the dark side of her society.
This one is perfect for readers who love shifters, swoon-worthy love interests, betrayal, and gritty action scenes.

Dark Whispers of Destiny - Kate Bonham
Can I just start by asking you to raise your hand if you love a determined FMC who doesn't do things simply because she is told to? 🙌🙌🙌
I'm going to admit, the fact that Kate kept the spirit of defiance in this gripping retelling of Brave made the story for me.
Instead of giving into her family's declaration that she must marry, Princess Ryhan is determined to forge her own path. However, the road of destiny is not an easy one to travel, and she uncovers some startling truths and shocking betrayals along the way.
If you enjoy your FMCs feisty, the plots twisty, and the ending sweet, make sure you sink into this story!
