I Love: Sewing in a Straight Line
Last week I went to New York to style the next round of Sheep(ish) garments that will go into the Caron Connections newsletter, and then to shoot the cover (I'll be on it, wearing a Sheep(ish) cowl I designed) of the holiday issue of Knit Simple Magazine. NEW SHEEP(ish) PATTERN: Penny Arcade Jacket
My latest design in Sheep(ish) is available for free now on Caron.com. I love incorporating yarn into the home in unexpected ways so this week, I be-cozied our ceiling light. We needed a little warmth brought into our too-white dining area, so with the help of a ball of Sheep(ish)--in color, Pumpkin(ish)--I worked up a garter stitch strip, stretched it and hot glued it to an inexpensive drum lamp (after Dave spray painted the hardware silver). I love the organic

New Sheep(ish) PATTERN: Baby Granny Hat
My latest Sheep(ish) design is up as a free pattern on Caron.com! The Baby Granny Hat for the craft-dexterous--the body of the hat is made from crocheted, granny squares that are sewn together. The band and crown are then knit. This is a great, portable project to work on at the pool this summer. Whip it up now, so it'll be ready for the Fall!Stitch.Rock.Love,Vickie
