Need Reviewers
Reviews drive sales. It is a tough fact of life and a vicious circle. In order to get reviews, you need sales, and in order to get sales, you need reviews. And honestly… I’m struggling with getting reviews. None of my books have more than a handful. Even a books with thousands of downloads only have a handful. The newer books don’t have that many… a couple of them have none at all. Read More
So, I’m looking for reviewers. Obviously, I want good reviews… but I also really want honest reviews ...

Lies & Omissions excerpt II
Lies & Omissions was the next book I wrote outside of the Dixon-Prince series, however a couple of Dixon-Prince characters snuck in with supporting roles, and two of the characters from here managed to worm their way into Unknown Caller. Check it out… only $2.99 on Kindle, $12.99 printed softcover, and on Kindle Unlimited.
Oscar Dailey saw his chance. Cassandra was with the older woman. They had gone in the back door of a salon and when they came out, he would have the opportunity he was loo...

What is that on the horizon?
As I sit to write this, I have just finished a rough (pre-first) draft of a story that is currently called At Arm’s Length. I think the title will remain… I like that one. But it isn’t the only story I have in progress. So, I thought that today I would give a quick rundown of the stories that are currently in process… and update on where they are. Read More
I usually shoot for someone in the 80k to 100k range for a novel. However, I don’t want to pad something just to get it to the minimum l...

Triple Cross excerpt II
Triple Cross was my first non-Dixon-Prince novel, although there is a slight cross-over. I won’t spoil the surprise. I enjoyed getting a little outside of the characters I’d spent so much time writing. As I started to write it, it all just fell together. I did have to go back and edit in a few details and change a few things, but the story seemed to fall together on its own as it unfolded. It is also available on Kindle Unlimited.

Novels, Novellas and Short Stories
I did not take a traditional path to get here. Most people start out writing shorter stories, then work their way up to longer pieces. Not including assignments and (non-fiction) blog posts, the first thing I wrote was a novel… actually a pair of them encompassing one story (Planning Vengeance and Dig Two Graves). Then I wrote a novella to give away for blog subscribers (if you subscribe, you still get it for free). After that I started writing short stories on Vocal, aside from the ones I compi...

Grafton III
Grafton is part of the Dixon-Prince series. It has stories relating to Gunny Grafton and his family, including Melody Grafton’s backstory. We are also introduced to his daughter, and find out her backstory. Of course, we get to see some more of Gunny and his merry band of former special forces operators, as well as the Dixons and Princes. This is an excerpt from Hostage Situation. Gunny has agreed to spend some time as a substitute teacher, but of course there is drama…

Momentum
Writing is hard sometimes, but like many things, it is harder to pick back up than it is to keep going.
In real life, I have started going to the gym. I am carrying too much weight, and I am not in the shape I want to be in, so a couple of months ago I started going to work out. It has been challenging at times, but I have been trying to build and maintain the habit that I need in order to get where I want to go with my health.
After our last vacation, I hadn’t stepped into the gym in te...
