"Guy-girl friendships are hard to write. I haven’t read a book that presented them so authentically before this one. My college best friend was a guy. Last year he passed away very unexpectedly and it gutted me. Reading this book, I found myself cryin" Read more of this review »

You read Anne of Ingleside to get to Rilla of Ingleside, one of my favorites of the series.

“Loss had alerted us to earlier memories, and they sat in contrast to the parent we thought we knew.”
Sari Fordham, Wait for God to Notice

“My father attended a one-room Adventist school. He could barely read or write, and during class, he wandered around the room, no doubt annoying his teacher. Yet she responded with kindness, igniting in my father an admiration for the profession and an awareness of how one teacher can change someone’s life trajectory.”
Sari Fordham, Wait for God to Notice

“We know and don’t know our parents in equal parts.”
