Sometime You Need Time and/or Motivation
I don't know about you, but occasionally I find it hard to push forward after starting a new chapter or beginning. Something the direction doesn't feel right or not exactly where you want it to go. It tends to put a halt on the flow of the story. When that happens I like to take some time away from my story and characters and try to find inspiration through everyday life.
Currently I am trying to decide on a name for the second book in my Dream to Reality series. It will depend on the direction the story takes me. I might delve more into my protagonist's (Alexandra Connell) life and how she came to be in her current situation or that could come at a later time. If you have picked up a copy of my book Dream to Reality I would love to hear from you. Fee free to leave me a message or comment.

Writing Inspiration
One of the things I enjoy doing as a writer is taking a photograph and use that as inspiration to begin a story. Have you ever tried this technique when you have writer's block?

It always starts the same. I am standing in the woods surrounded by trees with a path stretching out in front of me. The leaves have fallen from the trees and now blanket the ground with orange, red, and brown. I look ahead of me and I see .....

Writing a Novel and Book Promotion?
Hello everyone... I hope today finds you well. I would like to discuss what I have found to be the most difficult aspect of writing a book and that would be PROMOTING. I have read numerous other blogs stating that it is a very important part of the process, but finding the time and best way to go about it has been extremely hard for me. I have of course designed a website and made a blog. I have an Instagram account and Pinterest. I enjoy sharing my creations with others on these platforms but finding a following be it big or small has become a difficult task. If you ask me, writing the book was the easy part. I guess what I am trying to say is that no matter how difficult you find any part of the writing process, be it the story writing or promotion aspect please don't give up. You can make it happen. It just might take more time than expected.
What part if any of the writing processes have you found to be difficult?

Unique Story Ideas
Coming up with a unique story idea seems next to impossible, but I always feel up to the challenge. I start my stories with whatever world and characters my imagination creates and let it flow to see where it takes me. Any ideas are worth a chance to see if they can blossom into a great story. For me some stories work and others I put to the side for later if I am not feeling them. Dream World is one such story that I put on the back burner for a while. I have always wanted to write an ongoing/serialized story and decided recently to make Dream World just that. I hope everyone enjoys reading Dream World as I get a chance to update it. Comments and questions are always welcome.
How do you find ideas for your stories?

For the Love of Writing
When I listen to music I can lose myself in my writing for hours. It gets my creativity flowing. While writing Dream to Reality I enjoyed listening to Great Scottish Music by Adrian von Ziegler. Do you listen to music while writing? If so, what type of music helps get your creativity flowing?
Love of Reading to Love of Writing
What motivated or inspired me to start writing? I would have to say my love of reading. I have always been an avid reader, even from an early age. In my early twenties, I decided to try my hand at writing. In my short time as a writer I have written a couple of short stories and a novelette. My most recent work is a full-length fantasy/crime novel. I am so excited to share Dream to Reality with everyone that enjoys reading as much as I do. I hope you will check it out and let me know your thoughts.
