Let me begin with a friendly warning: think twice before killing your spouse in a story.
Many people consider killing a spouse to be anti-social. It’s especially unwise when you’re newly married. Your wife (or husband) hasn’t yet adjusted to the fact that you’re a writer. To them, murdering a spouse on the page can feel… personal. Possibly even rude.
