A Day To Celebrate
And we are enjoying sampling some homemade wine.
This year was grape, elderberry, rhubarb and black currant.

This year’s red grape wine made came out exceptionally well! It’s a bold full-bodied flavour that has made juicing countless bunches of grapes feel very worthwhile. So quite happy about that.
The rhubarb is, as always, an easy hit; the black currant is like a sweet candy; and the first-time-to-make elderberry is – ironically – pretty young and probably needs to be combined with another wine to be more enjoyable.

When Life Is In Chaos
If you would like greater context of this vase in the Alchemist’s Studio universe, please check out raku vase, ‘Tears of Uranus’, which you can read here, and also the story for ‘Gaia’s Revenge‘. It’s no wonder those two come from Chaos!
Now let’s Descend in to Chaos!
Free Shipping Included In US and Canada
‘Chaos‘, tells the tale the story of everything, but also nothing, of the void, and how everything sprung from it. And it may explain those days we all have when the unexpected keeps cropping up.
It’s not easy existing in a cosmic void, particularly if you feel like you are alone in the universe. Fortunately, for most of us, we will never know how that really feels. But for Chaos, it was the only thing they would know for some time.

Chaos existed for much time in a state of disorder, at least according to us humans. One day Chaos started feeling different than usual. They wondered if they had eaten too many sub atomic particles and space junk.

Chaos definitely began to feel more and more strange, until suddenly, a cosmic egg emerged from them. At first Chaos dismissed this occurrence as simply just more Chaos, but it was from this egg that all elements of our world would originate from.
Cosmic egg, it does the universe good. You can read the vase story of another cosmic egg from another culture here – The Brahmanda!

Might explain a lot of things from our history and that are even going on today.
That science so many years later would describe the origin of the universe coming from a single point in a void, makes me wonder if the Greeks knew something we did not.

have a great weekend!

Or will a cloud overtake the sun?
You Decide!

$118
Free Shipping Included in US and Canada
The Nephelai tells the tale of these offspring of the Titans Oceanus and Tethys, who at first glance you may not see, but they definitely have a seat at the table. The water table that is!
They also don’t like Tori Amos very much.Look up at the sky some time and you may see, hopefully only a few, clouds.Or so you think!
What you might be seeing are the white billowing robes of the mostly transparent, but beautiful Nephelai.
The Nephelai were the nymphs of the sky, and if you’ve ever forgotten your umbrella and then got wet on a rainy day, it’s their fault. For these nymphs were far more than just a pretty face.
They would spend their days collecting water in their cloudy pitchers, carrying them to the heavens. When all the pitchers were full, they would pour them from the heavens and nourish the earth with the water.
Talk about being prepared for a rainy day! Watch out Tori Amos! The next time you are bouncing off clouds you might hit one of the Nephelai and spill their jug.Maybe it’s Tori Amos’ fault when it rains?

Perihelion day occurs about two weeks after every December Solstice, and on this day, Earth’s center is approximately 91,402,500 miles from the sun’s centre.
Our sun appears the largest in our sky as it will be for the entire year! So to celebrate our sun, here is a bright yellow raku vase!
Who will be your victor? Be sure to get your vote by adding it in a comment BELOW! Their fate is now in your hands! We will share the winner (and update from last Time) next month!
Conscious Acts of Kindness
With all that is going in the world,“I shall pass through this world but once.
If therefore, there be any kindness I can show,
or any good thing I can do, let me do it now:
let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”
― Etienne de Grellet
It can be easy to miss the every day opportunities to be kind, but those opportunities have not gone away!
We always have the opportunity to choose our words and how we express them. We have the power to choose to focus our actions on growing loving kindness in the every day moments.
And on top of that, research shows that being kind even helps us each to feel better!

On The Wheel Wednesday – Trim
We will talk about letting go of and trimming the things that no longer serve us so it is only appropriate that I share some pictures of one of my favourite studio activities – trimming the bottoms of mugs.

You may find yourself at a point in your life where you want to trim away things that no longer serve you thus allowing you to be your best self.

And refining our perceptions allows us to find new beauty within. It allows our best self and light to shine brighter, and in doing so we can find our feet again and stand taller.

If so, I would like to offer you an invitation to participate in our communal project of healing. You can find out more about our ‘Healing Vase‘ project in the video below, and participate by visiting here and adding your healing request on that page.
Have a beautiful day everyone! For updates on The Healing Vase project (and other projects)
