Preternatural Book 1 Rerelease 9/29!

I'm happy to finally reveal that the rerelease for Preternatural book 1 will be coming up this Thursday, 9/29. This will mark the 3-year anniversary of the book's original release, and also my first published work. So excited to finally share it with you all! And I'll also be running a 100 book giveaway coming up soon, too.

I hope everyone is well today.
For those of you who don’t know Randi-Lee Bowslaugh, she is a truly multitalented individual. Between her podcasts, books, career in social services, her advocacy of mental health, etc, she is just very skilled all around. Did I mention she was a kickboxing champion, too?!
Randi was also nice enough to have me as a guest, for the second time, on her increasingly popular Write or Die podcast a few months back (Thank you again, Randi!). We discussed the third and final book of my Preternatural trilogy, Reckoning, and it’s hidden themes imbedded in mental health.

Preternatural - Book 1 Rerelease
Afternoon everyone!
I hope you're all well today!
So I'm very excited to share the news that my original Preternatural book will be rereleased later this year, probably in the early Fall. I had a terrible experience with my original editor and was forced to learn everything from the ground up, publishing it without any help. But now that I have the resources to bring book 1 to the same quality as Evolution and Reckoning, it is an absolute must. This will include a brand new cover, updated content, and loads of other surprises. So keep your eyes out for more details as we near the release date and here is the preface that I'll be including in it;
I first want to thank all of my readers for taking the journey into my twisted, fantastical little world. I spent more than twenty-five years devising this trilogy, going through countless concepts and drafts, before settling on what you are about to read.
I grew up in a very abusive situation and used writing as my outlet for all of my anger, processing the various traumas that I endured, and made it a strongpoint. In a lot of ways, it was very therapeutic, and mirrors my own journey towards better mental health, which I remain a strong advocate of. But I am not a trained or formally educated writer and have no previous experience in the literary world. So while my stories may not be of the same caliber of some of my better-known colleagues, I am extremely proud of each book, and the tireless work that I put in to make a lifelong goal happen, not just once, but three times. And I am so humbled and grateful for the encouragement and support from my friends, family, fellow authors and readers, and the professional help that I had to make it all happen.
All of the characters and situations described in these books are all based on parts of myself and things I either was directly subjected to, or witnessed firsthand. Given that I took some liberties to keep things more theatrical and entertaining, but all events in the book have a reason for being there and some basis in reality. To me, direct experiences allowed me to accurately depict how each character would react, feel, and how to navigate the story as a whole.
The books were written to be very layered, in that someone could read it surface-level and appreciate as just another horror story. However, I incorporated many psychological principles and tons of symbolism throughout that will all give my readers something to dive into and really analyze, if they want to take it to that level. But one of the most important things when I wrote this trilogy was to allow each reader to have their own unique experience.
And, of course, at its core, I wanted to develop one helluva horror story. I am a self-described ‘horror junkie,’ and have more hours clocked in on horror movies, scary books, and other such outlets, that I care to admit. But horror is something that I was raised, bred alongside, and had to deal with, so it feels like home to me. While I respect other authors and their works in alternative genres, I think that horror is the place that I not only started writing in, but will continue in, until the day I finally put my little idea pad and special 4-color writing pen down for good.
