Canvas Rebel Interview
Evening all!
For anyone that isn’t aware of the online publication, Canvas Rebel, it really is a great magazine. Its mission is to create a space for artists, creatives, and entrepreneurs to be able to learn from their peers through the magic and power of storytelling.
I was referred by one of my nearest and dearest literary colleagues, Randi-Lee Bowslaugh, and they offered me the wonderful opportunity to do an interview, which just went live:
https://canvasrebel.com/meet-peter-to...
Not my best pictures, but it was important for me to be seen in my normal elements doing everyday activities like watching horror movies, reading scary books, and working in the kitchen.
Please give it a read if you have some time and, as always, I very much appreciate your time and support here on Goodreads!
Thank you and have a great night!

1000 Reviews!!!!
I am so happy to report that today marks my 1000th review. Whether I loved them, hated them, or fell somewhere between, I’ve managed to read 1000 books since mid-2020. And I officially entered into the 4-digit review club. Thank you to everyone out there for encouraging me over the last few years between my social media posts, reviews, and, of course, my four published books. I still have plenty more gas in the tank and can’t wait to share more exciting updates with you all!!!

Where has all the horror gone?
Morning!
I stepped foot into a Barnes & Noble yesterday, for the first time in a long while. I kept looking for the horror section, and finally found a single bookshelf, with maybe a hundred titles, most of which were Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and Joe Hill. My jaw dropped. Like there are so many unknown, stupid talented horror writers out there that I’ve seen, not getting any recognition. And it drives me frickin’ nuts!
I try my best to encourage and promote other horror authors, but have noticed a lot of infighting and selfishness among us over the years, as compared to other genres. I know that it may sound too idealistic, but I think if we all started to work together, we could further develop the horror field and maybe one day be as recognized as other genres. And we all win at that point.
So I just wanted to open it up for some discussion. Any of you fellow horror enthusiasts, authors, and other macabre-loving peoples have any thoughts and/or feedback?

Glocusent!
Good day, boils and ghouls!
I hope you're all well!
I’d like to formally announce a new partnership between Peter Topside and Glocusent.
As you all know, I am not a good sleeper. Maybe it’s because I’m always eager to catch sight of a claw, paw, maw, or some other abnormality creeping out from under the bed. So, most nights, I sit there, trying not to keep my better half up with the lights on, working on my horror manuscripts and reading all sorts of grisly and ghastly tales of the macabre. And that’s where the various Glocusent products come into play. These creative lights and lanterns are perfect for many different activities. Whether it’s camping, doing a puzzle, patrolling the darkest parts of your basement for hideous creatures, reading an eBook without a backlight or a regular paperback, or even utilizing for better lighting as you play a piano, at least one of the multitude of products they offer will surely find a place in your daily routine. They even offer a children’s light, which comes with an adorable little bookmark and, for my young child, is extremely easy to use and perfect for when she’s hiding in the closet, in a fort, or hunting for monsters under her bed. She’s just like her father. A horror fanatic to her core! Brings a tear to my eye. Or maybe that’s allergies. Either way, it’s kid approved! And each product is packed beautifully, ready to use right out of the box, super easy to operate, and they all come with special little quotes, such as Stephen King’s ‘Books are a uniquely portable magic.’ The lights all have several different settings for both brightness and color, come with charger cables, and the clamps are strong enough to hold onto any surface. Especially the music stand light, it is a very strong clamp, but each light also has durable padding, as to not damage even the most delicate surfaces, like pianos, or, in the case of the smaller lights, little one’s fingers. I’m not one to just endorse any product that comes my way. I’m very picky and critical about most things these days. But, when I truly believe in something, whether it’s trying to scare my readers, advocate for mental health, or post shameless, yet hysterical, book plugs to give my followers a chuckle, I give it my full backing. And this, folks, like the elite few horror films and books that you’ve seen me critique over the years, is Topsider approved!

NEW BOOK! Love & Pieces!!!
Morning all!
I hope everyone is having a great start to your week!
So I am super, duper excited to announce, as of a few minutes ago, that I have officially begun production on my fourth book, Love & Pieces. It takes place in the same world as my Preternatural trilogy, but is its own unique, standalone horror story. I'm aiming for a late summer or early fall release this year. As I go through the process with my various editors and cover artist, and everyone else, I'll keep you all updated on its progress. Thank you all for your continued support and just being awesome here on Goodreads. It's one of the highlights of my day to see what everyone is reading, how far into your year's reading goals you are, and just seeing what you're all up to.
Have a good day!
